He reckons Uruguay deserve to get into the World Cup and has totally disrespected Australia. Who le f u c k does he think he is? Sure when he plays against us he looks good, but he is just some ****house inter pine warmer.

He is a dirty, ugly prima donna with a fake passport. I hope he breaks his leg, scores and own goal and gets shot upon return to his scum country. Yes that's right, didn't see any Uruguayan players getting mobbed or spat on or have projectiles projected at them at Sydney airport.

I would have thought that if anyone had a right to be there it was Australia.They topped their group while Uruguay came 5TH in theirs.Quite simply Australia should already be going and Uruguay should already be eliminated.Theres no point in going on about "quality of the opposition" in your qualifying groups.You play the teams that you are given and thats that.So if anyone thinks the Aussies have an easy time of it qualifying,thats hardly their fault is it?Man,this is called the World Cup,and it defeats the purpose a bit, if a part of the World ( i.e. Oceana),are not represented.......
or am i missing something here?.......... :)

No, you see Recoba remains to be an arrogant dud. Mind you I didn't like Viduka's comment that the Aussie will crowd will get the ball in the net on it's own, however I think that is more a reflection on his lack of media savvy than his thoughts on the game. :p

However, at least in a civilised country such as Australia players can make free comments after getting off a plane. At least in Australia there is no need for there to be 1000 riot police outside international football matches because Australians have a little more class than to riot and attack opposition teams, unlike the people from a certain South American country. At least in Australia when players get off a plane they are not spat on, have coins thrown at them and whatever other crazy crap goes on In Uruguay.

Ronaldo, you know, decent player :rolleyes: , said Uruguay are the dirtiest team in the world, you never would have thought.

If Australia win, Uruguayan players on return might have to be protected from drug cartel bosses who had money on Uruguay winning, might see some assassinations, never know what you could get over there.

australia is a geographic disadvantage. they don't get to play the quality opposition, therefore they can't improve as much as a team than others. i'd love to see them do well, and they came 1st and in a perfect world they should be in the world cup. there is no logical reason why they are not allowed in after winning their section!

Yeah but If Australia can't even beat the players from some crap country like Uruguay we don't deserve to be at the World Cup.

But, there was one stage where Oceania was granted direct qualification, then they reversed it, dirty FIFA corruption, just like South American governments. :ewan:

But next World Cup we get to qualify through Asia, even though Australia is not really on the Asiatic continental plate.

As for the quality of the opponents Australia face,that's irrelevent.Don't Africa have a similar "problem"?But at least one country from Africa will always be there whereas,Oceania,are quite often not represented at all.I do not have ,like some,an elitist attitude towards the world Cup.I do not believe that it should be sure to include certain favoured teams.I think the winners of the groups are entitled to be there,whoever they are.
