OK......its not a general request....btw..

Anyway......ppl may disagree.....but do u guys notice that.....no matter how great the graphics is........we never get the feeling that we are really playing a big match.........we are really on the field.......

somehow..........the pitch, the flags, the nets, the player physics,ref.....all dose not creat a illusion like we are really on the field.....its all looked pre-set.......i mean u will never feel any difference playing a Germany-Holland match and 5-th division match..........

But......if play Sega's Virtual striker......or Games from Eidos.....(dont know about Konami).......oh boy........we will be extremely excited.........for a moment u will feel u are on the field......the pitch .....environment was so realistic.......

As some one said......"The realistic layer is missing in EA"........

Why is it so ?

The animations are still too jerky. Especially when the AI have the ball. They make unbelievable turns, one second facing one direction and somehow get the ball to travel a thousand miles the opposite way.

Also, the sound isn't perfect. It sounds too much like 20 people put through a volume change.

Plus, in real life, I think Motson is a brilliant commentator. In the game, he sounds too much like he has been sat down to be recorded. You listen to him commentating (especially for euro 2004) he has a much higher pitched voice. Much more excited about the game.

The build up to the game is pathetic. The half-time analysis is poor as well.

good points............

The thing i want to point out..........EA makes lot of effort on faces
and graphics............but still it never comes to reality.........i mean not even close to a feeling that i am really on the pitch for a single moment...........really dont understand:(

I saw the game between Germany-Holland and started to play this on Euro 2004 ...........i never feel the exitment.......the look......the pitch.......the environment.......the tension......nothing.......

You are right in other EA games(Madden, NBA Live, Fight Night) you get the felling of been there I don't know if it is the different developers making the game but they put more effort in the enivornments in their other games with FIFA they seem not put much importants on this.

Yep, thats the same thing ive been trying to figure out. And it makes people that have played other EA Sports titles wonder why FIFA isnt made with the same quality as the rest of em but who knows I'm hoping the best for FIFA 2005.

wow what a great response, "cuz ea sucks"

why even post if you have nothing to say?

The problem with fifa over the years is that the developers focus way too much on graphics and other elements (i.e. weather, net physics, etc.) which in turn affects gameplay because it was almost never the first priority to begin with. Gameplay is the single most important aspect off the game though, and I feel now that ea has, for the most part, perfected the graphics and everything else the "true feel" to the game will enevitably get much better. We will have to wait and see until october, but I have a gut feeling that we will all be rather satisfied.

yes, I really like your idea about settings. Something needs to be done so that a HUGE match will feel like a hige match. In career mode, the CL final was done as if it was a normal league match. The new "TV Mode" or whatever it is called, should be used to change the atmo.

Anyway, please use the request threads when you want to, well, request something. Except for the comment about the big matches VS little matches, everything has been said before. Using the request threads will make it easier for EA to look at this stuff.
