The guide to realistic league positions such as Man United, CHelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool on top in the Barcalys Premier League for example is to edit formations using Creation Master prior to starting career or else using Manager Master. Do this for Champions League top teams as well such as AC Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc. This way if you're in a group with Barcelona or another top team they'll keep pace with you if you're winning your games or even gain more points off of teams in the same group. Simply set the weaker teams in the league to 4-4-2 or UEFA Cup or Champions League formations to 4-4-2 and the top teams in any league such as Milan, Inter , Barca for example to 4-3-3. Importantly change the player positions to match so if you edit man united and use another club say man city and you want to feel closeness in the league and have top players playing in the lineup if Giggs appears as a striker or Central Midfielder in 4-3-3 formation change his position characteristics from LM to ST or Central Midfielder sothat he starts games for Man United so that he will play in matches for top teams for the players to play in the games for the CPU. Do the same for other top players.For example Mscherano is CDM for him to be in starting lineup for 4-3-3 for liverpool he must be set as a CM.

I won the Premier league with Southampton by 1 point over Chelsea who finished with 95 points!!! Man City third (set their default formation to 4-3-3 as well ) LOL man United 4th, Arsenal 5th...NB - you must remove the personalised formations from weaker teams since the AI loves to make Portsmouth win the league or other smaller clubs. CHange all the formations of the weaker teams in Serie A, BPL, La Liga to 4-4-2 and stronger teams to 4-3-3 the top teams will finish top and the Champs league will have Barca, Madrid Chelsea qualifying from the group stage and getting more points than your team from the teams in the group stage than you! Now Serie A will have Milan, Inter, juventus top...La Liga Barca, Real, Sevilla, Valencia, BPL (for me at least) Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City - I added the 4-3-3 to them too to make it more realistic. They will tharsh weaker teams now instead of losing. I think 4-2-2 is also a good formation for top teams I'll test it and see if it DOES work.
