This file has turned off this. A lot of GP modders find it increases the AI Cheating. I on the other hand do not.

This is definitely going on for me, if they switch to All out Attack when they're losing, their CB will become a ST so it'd be great to counter attack them. Or when you're losing and they suddenly have men back, so good..

It's a huge shame this isn't a feature of career mode, I don't know why EA don't move it over to cm when they already have the basics coded for UT.

Whilst we're on the ini subject, do you happen to know what PHYSICAL_STAMINA= does if anything? I was hoping it would be a way to tweak how much stamina is burned during a match as it's really poor in 16 (players never need subbing) but I've tried every variable I can think of and nothing changes the amount of stamina players use.

I do like it, but I think the CPU presses wayy to much. You barely have a second to yourself on the ball. Sometimes you could have 2-3 players chasing the ball, disregarding their positions. Also, there is a lot of tiki-taka passing.

The AI and your own team are affected by morale. I don't know if it will make them "more competitive" but it does affect player attributes.

A negative value will achieve an opposite result. If you put a NEGATIVE value in DECREASE, it will result in an INCREASE of difficulty. Same applies for INCREASE, Negative value is a DECREASE of difficulty.

You can not change it using an INI, as far as I know. What I have done is adjust the Career mode files to better reflect a busy season. If you change the recovery per day lower, the CPU will sub players during games.

I tried those lines today and it looked like it worked; I set home to 2.00 all and away to 1.00 in the product ini as you suggested. What is strange is that I played something like 10 matches without touching anything in game (slides, settings etc.). Then changed some values in the product.ini, and still was ok. Then I touched the slides, changed product ini values regenerated and restarted the game. It seems that all the product settings ini were being overridden by the defaut values. Then I had no more time tomorrow I'm going to try to remove the product ini regenerate, recopy the product.ini regenerate and see what it happens.
I know it makes no sense as well. But what makes sense with fifa?? ;)

I played a couple of home games last night using this mod, felt so much more realistic. The AI defenders actually throw themselves in the way of your shots and the fullbacks chase you down. I love it.

But you have to keep cheat engine open while using fifa, right? You can't save the changes for what I see

I believe that's correct. I don't use it because I don't like the slow-mo look, feels like playing PES on -2 speed, very unnatural. I prefer real-time speed, and then slowing down the game and animation speed via rating edits and sliders. Plus the default gameplay is already close to spot on, speed-wise. Among other things I edited player and team aggression, and the game slows down to a crawl after that.

Yes I did the same (editing attributes and sliders) but still it's not as slow as it should. Not to count the cpu still bosting mine's or his speed.... Yesterday I played 10 perfect paced games and I thought I had fixed the speed variation then suddenly became fast again :facepalm:

I edit player and team aggression. What this does is force the CPU to back off and not press when you're in possession (improves animation look and smoothness as well, which for me is ++). At that point the game slows down to a standstill, I can stop, look around, decide who I want to pass to, dribble a bit, stop, look around, etc.

Doesn't get any slower than that!

have no problem editing player ratings with DB12 and they show in game o.k , but when editing team table in my case ccshooting that doesn`t show in game , any ideas why ?

I got the same issue. I think it is something related to an interaction between various team tables into the database.
Try to edit teams table and then another couple of tables related to teams that you can find into the database. It should work.

Hello guys hope you all like my gameplay. Now I modified some values in cl.ini, slider settings and game difficulty level again for make the gameplay more realistic as possible. I would like to thanks people and especially to regularcat, paulv2k4, bangus, beta990 for your support and useful tips to make the gameplay better. I am telling you guys once again that I am not the owner of the code; I am just modifying the value. I always respect those people who make the code and share with us because without the code it’s not possible to make gameplay better. My new gameplay change log will be in first page.
