Also is seems like Ruud will be getting surgey on his ankle which will have his miss the rest of the season for us. So now either Raul plays upfront (which he has done before ) alone or we change to a 4-4-2 or play Higuain on the right wing again.

I think SOldado will keep getting the nod...also Robben should be back, althought he probably wont start....but at least he's back and yes, Rudd out for the rest of the season

I have a problem with Raul and Soldado after the Deportivo game though, they were way too close to either other and for a 4-3-3 that just does not work. Now I may be wrong as it was just one game but I don't want to see them playing like that so either Higuain ( or Drenthe ) on the right or we switch to a 4-4-2. Or if Robben can stay fit we could play him on the left, Raul up front, and Robinho to the right.

Arnau - He did that at Sevilla, we have played him here in every position both when he first came here and when he came back from loan this season and it still does not change, his first touch kills anything he tries to do and IMO since I think we will sell him than we would be better off playing a different way.

not good news about ruud's injury .. We have been struggling for goals, and this will further dent our title hopes. Rau, along with the rest of the team better step it up. This title is ours to loose.

Have not been too worried about the goalscorers in the absence of RVN - Raul has looked in decent form all season. We might have scored a few more goals but until our defence looks more sturdy then I don't think RVN would have had too much influence in the results

we have missed ruud greatly and well miss him even more, not just because he scores goals, he offers us more then that, his movement, he holds the ball up pretty well and raul can play of him in his favourite position which is best for him.

but i hope to see higuian starting with raul or soldado up front.

on the diego issue i think we should go for him, i would much rather have him then guti and baptista put toghether.
i think next season schuster will be playing more of a 4-3-3 formation with diego-sniejde-diarra/gago midfield. and robinho-ruud/newST- raul/robben i think that would suite the players much more and it gives us more of an edge when trying to break teams down.

Nah, its just inflamatory talk Maestro...I fully expect for us and some other teams to make a serious push for this kid in the summer...Heis not inclined to stay there and like Robben if he gets grumpy enough they'll have to let him go...unlike the C. Ronaldo's and Kaka's of the world they are happy at their teams, and that is what makes it truly impossible for them to leave...

Don't know about that, it seems like Diego does not really mind being at Werder for another season and even if he wanted out he can't really force his way out, remember this past summer with Hamburg and V.D. Vaart? He did everything he could to force his move to Valencia even after Hamburg rejected their 27 million euro offer, he even missed a game on purpose to try and force his way out but in the end his club did not let him go and he more or less had to deal with it. German teams seem not to easy to just let their players go, even if their unhappy they might just make them stay there.

I'm watching Valencia vs Barca and man Valencia are doing a lot better than I thought they would, they are actually containing Barca and Baraja just scored a fantastic goal. Holy crap, it was a laser.

Edit - Make that 2-0, wow this Valencia side are gonna be more dangerous than I expected them to be. Mata makes it 2-0 after a ****up by 3 Barca players in the box. Again I will say that they are playing some good stuff...a lot better than I expected them to. Lets just hope it tires than down for when we play them.

yup, 2-0 now....I am watching Valencia in kind of like a scouting trip for our match...they look really good...too good for my taste...they are not leaving their defensive duties to attack either, just coming off of rebounds and counters and that's bad for us because apparently the only thing we know how to do is play the counter, if a team stands up against us defensively we look lost...

EDIT - LOL, crazy last 10 mins there...how the hell did noone see a red card? It was funny seeing Puyol ass rape David Villa on the corner flag though. So Valencia advance as Barca did manage to get a second from Eto'o...hmm well at least one thing is sure, Valencia will be more tired when they face us now.

Great game to watch for the neutral (ie. me) it was fun and had everything...of course I was rooting for Valencia a little bit, but most importantly i was noticing their team movement...the wheels almost came off that bus, luckily for them timed expired...too little too late from Barca who for the first time in the season showed some heart IMO, althought too late....

At least that is what we hope happens.. At the moment, They seem like they can either be dominated, or really put a up a fight. In the state we are in, I hope we can give them a good run..

I mean unbalanced as Diego would not track back or try to win the ball again which is needed in a 3 man midfield which would make more sense if it had Wesley in it as he does do that and Granero does too. Honestly I don't think we need an all out AMC because I am happy with Wesley and Granero.
