Just bench Raul already. 
ok my first half assesment.....Guti has been great with a couple miscues, but overall very good.
Raul has been a pleasant surprise playing really connected into the flow of things
Rudd is playiing too far away from the goal to be a threat he needs to get up there...
Metzelder has been great IMO both of the CB's have had a good game....
DRENTHE!!!...HE IS NOT A LB!!! he does not need to be playing defense....I cant stress that enough
overall its been ok, we need to control the midfield or they are gonna score, but lets not forget that Villareal is indeed a very good team

Damn it's been a kind of a crazy first half, first we started our very badly. Not able to make any passes and all but we started to calm down a bit and that resulted to a nice goal by Raul after a wonderful pass from Wesley. Also to my pleasant suprise Metzelder has been great, I think once Pepe returns than Fabio might find it a bit hard to make the first team. So far it's been pretty even and Villarreal have looked deadly on some chances towards the end of the half there. Hopefully we can contain them more in the second half so it won't be so much nailbiting for me.

Holy ******* **** what a match. I now have a man crush for Wesley, damn man what a player.
Second half was great with us attacking very well but somehow Villarreal still got a chance or so but that's alright. I really really like Drenthe as a LW, he should have scored at the end there but somehow he really missed his shot. Overall it was a great second half and Metzelder is also a great CB. This is why it's so important to have a deep squad to make up for injuries and all. Guti also had a brilliant match. I can't much more than that for now but will post more later on.

Casillas!- Solid as usual, cant ask for much more from the man, he is a stallwarth
Canna/Metz- Move over Pepe, these two looked rock solid the whole game, Metzelder needs to be the starter. What a match from the German and either way we are covered for a long while!
Drenthe-Definetly a good fighting midfielder, but not a defender as long as Schuster keeps him out of the back I am fine. Great fighter, still learning that is the scarry part.
Robihno/Raul/Rudd-So nice to see them, playing very well. I like how raul was connected into the flow of the game, a good average performance from all, I am happy, keep them in the starting lineup
GUTI/SNEIJDER!- You have got to save a mention apart for these two they were phenomenal. Specially sneijder. what vision, what passing, Guti is resurrected so far from what we have seen....
For the first time in many many years of me watching Real madrid, we are playing at a blistering total football like pace....AMAZING! I love it! and it excites me because it seems that we can only get better....I gave this team till january to play like this, well I am pleasantly surprised, but I still think we can play even better.
