Wow, Well some conclusions I have reached, this early in the year.

-Bench Raul.4 Years ago was the last time Raul had any relevance, to the fortunes of Real Madrid. They need to go ahead and give him a seat in management and let Him know its time to go. At one point one of our greatest DiStefano had to be told that it was time to hang up the boots, I think Raul is in need of a reality check.

-Guti, althought making a solid effort cannot be our best option at AMC there has to be someone else; He is just a feeder of the ball with occasional flashes of greatness, not someone to be relied on as the generator of football. It still puzzles me why didnt we keep Reyes, it would have saved us a million tons of trouble with the whole Robben deal...

-If you have Soldado, and Saviola then play them. Those two kids are too good to be constant bench guys, Soldado may need to be a super sub at the moment, but my God, Saviola needs the start everytime over Raul anyway..

-It is a young season, We cannot be irresponsible enought to start passing judgement and sentence on Schuster this early. The man just go there and there is nothing saying that the team will finally improve. I will agree with the fact that he needs to shut up. I attribute this to his excitement/nervousness about coaching a team he wanted to coach for a long time and coaching at this great a stage...But notwithstanding, let's give time to time...Unless we go blank for a large portion of the season, we need to let Schuster mature into the position. I think this was my only missgiving about Schuster anyway, would he be able to handle all of the pressure and hype that comes with managing a club like Madrid. Not everyone can do it, being a good coach is not enough.....I mean look at us, it is the first official game and so so pre-season and we are going crazy...

-The defense will be fine. It will be fine, it is not the time to panic. I think Cannavaro will find a better form this year, Pepe looks solid and Ramos will be Ramos, that kid is very very talented and will find his rithym...If we utilize the Torres/Marcelo option right that should be our only weakness if anything. One thing thought; if Schuster is not planning to play Cicihno then we need to sell him. Point blank...

ok that is my two cents

oh btw, robben did not play....the plot thickens!!! hehe:evil:
Yup and Malouda scored and played very good. So Robben is on its way to Madrid ;) And yeah I agree about everything you said. The biggest 'suprise' for me atm is Cannavaro...He really is playing like he did in Juve atm. If he can keep it up (and I believe he can) then we have one of the best defenders in the world, if not the best!

Marca needs to get some good sport journalists. Seriously what did they expect us to do, rollover Sevilla while playing crisp beautiful football? Fact of the matter is that we played one of the best teams in the league at their home and lost by a goal.

yet it was they could have called the same foul on Robohno later on in the game but didnt, I must admit Sevilla was the better team thought

what about the foul on saviola that was even more clearer then robinho one.

anyway sevilla away is a tough match espeacially when theire fans are singing and shouting, the fans in that stadium are right on top of u so it can make u quite nerveuos, poor ramos he suffered the most from that every time he got the ball theire were whistles and bous.

This team of schusters is gonna need time, i dont think well see us playing the way he wants us untill january or next season.

I just watched the match and I've gotta say I'm impressed by our play. I was wondering what all the fuss was about, considering the result and by radio it seemed an even match. Watching the footage it is clear that we were better, despite the players we put out. No Navarro, Escude, Kanoute, or Poulsen. More importantly, we weren't very sloppy considering how early it is in the season. I feel very confident heading into our CL qualifier this Wednesday.

Give Schuster more time. Sevilla didn't transition from Caparros' ****ty style to Juande's beautiful style overnight either.

i think real madrid stands no chance of winnig la liga this year
you had a great manager with give proof of his quality. you fire him and replaced him with a manager who hasn't won anything of valor
you still have a very unbalanced squad, your midfield is very poor and yet you insist on buying more and more attackers...
barça has a better than the previous year and they won't be so condescent during the season. i'm sure they learned from last season and won't make them again

UnBalanced squad, poor midfield?

if u look at our squad it is probably the most balanced in recent years.

our midfield is looking quality now, we have Gago, diarra,emerson?,guti,sniejder,Baptista,drenthe,higuinRW,RobinhoLW-AM and a few players from youth system Balboa,de la red, granero (probably the best out of all of them).

guti is very incosistent
emerson won't be a part of the squad and baptista probably won't stay too
so you've only got gago, diarra, sneijder and guti
those youth players didn't impress me at all
higuain and robinho are not wingers and they don't playe as well in the wings as they would in the centre

well higuin is much better in the right, robinho isnt really a winger yeh, but weve got drenthe and robben might still come.

diarra gago guti snijder thats 2 quality players for each position.

Congrats with signing our best player, I really don't think you need him but that's another story. I'm sad to see Wes go but I wish him all the best with Real Madrid and you gain one of the best midfielders in Europe so treat him well or we (Ajaxfans) will come looking for you :mrpimp:

Madrid needed an attacking mid with the ability to control the midfield...we were seriously lacking that as evidenced by the pre-season and the match against Sevilla...I reckon, that Signing Robben is starting to look like more and more the signing that we dont need...we will have to see how Drenthe works out and how Schuster plays him........

on another note....arent we starting to look like the Real Dutch Madrid.

Rudd, Drenthe, Sneijder, Robben?
