i highly doubt we paid that much for him.

i have to say i never seen the guy play, i just saw it a minute ago on real madrid tv.

i think we paid something like 20mill for chivu i think its along the same lines for pepe as well.

it doesnt make sense that we didnt want to offer chivu the money he wants and then spend twice as that on pepe.

I must follow he Portuguese league closer since Ive never heard of Pepe. All of a sudden marca and real madrid.com are saying he is the perfect cb??? Strange. I guess that's a big FU to Chivu. Good for him. Lets hope Pepe is really that good. Any thoughts, ratings on him?

Ah, that's better.. for you guys. You know, it's not because of it being 30M €, it's because he may not be worth it. If he was, I wouldn't say it was expensive because he'd be worth it, and since you can afford it everyone would be happy.

I think he's a very good defender and defenately a good buy. He may not be at Carvalho's level for instance, and he clearly isn't now, but who knows he still has a good margin to improve.

For me, and this of course my opinion from watching him play he's at the same level of Luisão from Benfica is. And that is world class.

i think he will be a good buy cheaper then chivu and it wont take him long to adapt to the spanish league as the portuguess league is quite simillar to the spanish league.

so that makes it metzelder,ramos,cannavaro, iven helguera and pepe in centre back positions.

so thats us done in the centre back positions we just need a couple of wingers and maybe an attacking midfielder.

Saviola is ours. Schuster said that he will be a great player for us. So there it is. His future is in the Bernabeu.

just because its on the porto website doesnt mean its true.

it could be the presedent is just trying make the fans happy by telling them the player was sold for much more then he actually was.

the same thing happend with reyes when he moved to arsenal, and a couple of week ago eduardo siva moved to arsenal for 10 mill and the club presedent calimed it was 16 mill.

pepe is a fantastic player but 30 millions is a bit too much (and of coures it's 30 million. porto wouldn't sell him for less them 20 million)
but i think you still need more quality midfielders. your midfield lacks quality considering the standards of a club like real

We are just going by Spanish reports, I actually think its 20-25 million euros, maybe 30. Your president is not so easy to deal with.
