Seems like noone has posted about the election mess? Not sure if anyone read it or not but here is how I understand things are going right now.

Spanish TV channel (Tele 5) showed a program where through a hidden camera they interviewed people suppousingly involved in the manipulation of the votes in favor of Calderon. The testimonies clearly show that votes were bought for 50 euros, manipulated by every possible mean, and that the witness who declared against Villar in front of the judge who finally cancelled the mail votes was/is a Calderon man and involved in the business.

They also say that Calderon is not the real President of Real Madrid but just someone who does what a bigger guy says.

More information and videos IN SPANISH here: http://www.telecinco.es/dn_10816.htm"

If this is all true it would make a lot of sense, I never got how Calderon ( a lawyer ) was able to fork out enough money to actually run for president and also the guy is a liar, corrupted, big mouth, and everything else that is disgusting. I never liked him from the start of things and this season has not made me change my mind one bit.

According to Calderon ( and the people in the video ) they were paid by Tele 5 to say those things which they claim are false and are now sueing Tele 5...which makes no sense really. Why would you sue the people who paid you to lie? Well lets see how this works out, it's suprsing that not many sites are reporting this....not sure if that mean they are ingorning this very big event or something else but lets wait and see how this works out.

I was just wondering...I don't mean to start anything but why doesn't the thread have a headline...something like "Real Madrid Thread (Campiones de La Liga)" or something like that...it's just a question.

yeah, it would be cool. maybe Jaouadinho can edit it in.

Regarding transfers, i'd really enjoy if Tevez came here, i doubted his talent alot, but what he did in the premiership was amazing, and i think Spain would be ideal for him. Plus we really need a guy like him in attack.

This stuff with the president and the coaches is pissing me off. I'd like a pre-season with a focused team, these changes in the leadership just disrupt the concentration. On the other hand, we'd really benefit from an offensive coach, we're screwed either way :p.

Yeah that thread title would be great, by the way guys vote the thread so it becomes 5 star! That's how it should be! :p

Interesting read. I am starting to hate Calderon more and more, so I wouldn't be sad if we got rid of him. I just hope that such things don't affect the team . Maybe a president who would come in an say that he likes what he saw last season so no radical changes need to be made. Ohh! yeah and that after winning the title will say with confidence that our coach will be here next season. none of this, we will see in two weeks BS.

I'v also heard of that. I really am worried about this. This isnt good at all! Lets see how it develops! But for now.....HALA MADRID! And btw, that board meeting that supposed to be Monday is tomorrow at 12:00! I think they will announce that they will sack Capello. Really a shame to handle like that with a coach that brought you the title, but this board is really corrupt and stupid that its normal for them to do such things.

About signings:

Seems to me that our club doesn't really know exactly what they want or don't know how to go about getting who they want. All this talk about Kaka and Co. is the usual rhetoric. Our lovely friends Barcelona have moved quick on who they want and who they "need". Henry done, Abidal close to signing, Chivu close, etc. I hope we get who we need (of course, probably waiting for Schuster to be official) without the usual circus and clubs trying to squeeze all the blood out of us.

Calderon doesn't even have the decency to tell Capello that he is no longer wanted. Seems like it's a bit disrespectful to keep him hanging. Lets just tell the man he's not wanted so we can all move on.

PENA MADRIDISTA (Official supporters club

Hello friends. This post is to inform of any loyal Madridista in the New York metro area who is interested in joining an official supporters club. Us founding members are mostly from the New York East Village super football pub mecca "Nevada Smiths" (best footy pub in the USA, if ever in the area it's a must go. Check www.nevadasmiths.net for fixtures, info, etc.). Nevada's is the home to 7-10 official supporters clubs including Man U, Newcastle, Marseilles & the pigs, Barcelona which leads to our decision to base the penya at "El Nacional" (Spanish cultural center on 14th St. which has an amazing kitchen and events such as Flamenco lessons...an excellent place). Although we choose not to base our penya in the same venue as a Barca penya I feel like I need to plug nevadas for there excellence throughout the years, not to mention all the free pints and free Red Bulls tickets, etc.. The penya will probably be called Penya Madridista El Nacional.

Alot of effort has been made by us over the years to start up a penya and now the fruit is bearing. In order to establish one 6 club members are needed and a minimum of 25 supporters are needed, which we've exceeded by quite a bit. Perhaps many here are not located in the New York area but if you are ever in the area or know of any supporters who cherish watching matches alongside fellow passionate Madridistas, it'd be a great place to go and watch our matches. Anyone interested leave your info and I will provide you with info and my friends' info in NY. I have moved to New Orleans for a while and will assist our penya in design and other matters as well as showing up a few times a year for big matches, meetings and future trips, etc. The penya is just underway. We are alreay in talks with Real Madrid and we hope to kick it off by September. Any personal info you don't feel comfortable leaving on the boards? Please feel free to Pm me. Take care.
