dude, this Real Madrid thread's new but their season was started few weeks back.

Starting Lineup is more than clear now.

It was discussed in other threads first, coz most of them were created in transfer window and pre season.

The second one looks fine, and it's consistent with that Mou has been using. But the first one wouldn't work, because:

a. Xabi is a passer, and can't marshal the midfield on his own, especially with Marcelo and Ramos so keen to go forward, and other than Coentrao, there's no one else in that midfield or forward line with any talent in defense.

b. Kaka and Ozil as AMC with Ronaldo as False 9 would lead to the space in front of the area being congested and none of them will get enough time or space to do anything.

c. Ronaldo is better making his movements wide and not deep, his dribbling isn't like Messi, who is good in limited spaces, Ronaldo thrives on space and on using his bursts of speed. Having him playing deep and building play is a poor use of his abilities.

One of them slots to a flank, but the real answer is, they can't.

Cristiano can't play as false 9, he is "only" a finisher, a goal scorer. Doesn't have enough understanding of the game and creativity to play there but he would be an excellent 9.
