So Em actually won Best Rap Album last night? F*ck, even his worst stuff is better than everyone else?

That's a joke. Cuban Linx 2 should have won. At least in my opinion.

Q-Tip, anyone?
Yeah Kamaal is a damn good album...I still prefer his solo debut with Amplified but this work is also great, very introspective lyrics wise and musically ecletic.

I miss ATCQ though...

Well that's funny, cause I think his 2008 album The Renaissance(which he also got his Grammy nomination for) is his definatly his best. Not too fond of the other two albums.

I do agree with you on ATCQ, though. His solo work doesn't even come close to something like The Low End Theory, but there aren't many hip-hop albums that do, so that's okay. I find myself listening alot to ATCQ lately.

Eminem! (H)

What a legend. I've been listening to him very much lately. He's just on another level.

In football terms, he's just like Messi. :D

He hasn't done ANYTHING good since The Eminem Show. That album came out the summer after I graduated from High School. He's probably more like Michael Owen.

Totally agree Shifty, anything Eminem ever did that was good was before that, Without Me - The Eminem Show.

I mean for ****s sake, Encore is one of the worst albums ive ever had the displeasure of hearing.

If you really want your Messi comparison, Lil' Wayne is probably the best comparison for a current rapper. Child prodigy turned into the best in the world.

I can see how someone who thinks Eminem is still relevant wouldn't think Weezy is any good. Just know that you don't know anything. That's the most powerful knowledge there is. Ask Socrates.

Actually, I'm not a big fan of rap. But, I think that some of the songs of Eminem are just a masterpiece. I do listen to other rappers as well such as Jay Z, or even Lil Wayne and like some of their songs, but personally, I do consider Eminem the greatest out there. Anyhow, I know that my opinion is not that much 'professional'. :D

It depends on what you're listening to. If it's Eminem Show or earlier, then yeah, he's great. If it's anything after 2002, then no, he's garbage. The only exception that I know of is his verse on this song (and btw, Game is nasty as hell on it too):

I started making a list of hip-hop artists/groups who have had albums better than anything Em has put out since 2002, but it was too long.

EDIT: **** it... From my collection only:

Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Chamillionaire, Clipse, Common, The Coup, Cunninlynguists, The Game, Ghostface Killah, GZA, Jay-Z, Jedi Mind Tricks, Kanye West (YES, EVEN ******* KANYE AS A RAPPER), Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, MF Doom, Mos Def (you can argue this one, The New Danger isn't for everyone), Murs, Nas, One Be Lo, Outkast, Raekwon, The Roots, T.I., Talib Kweli.

There's a ton of **** I don't have, but since January 1, 2003, there are 26 artists that are better than Eminem in my collection alone.

Some of it is true Shifty, but some of the names you throw there just come down to personal taste... But yeah I do agree Eminem once was much better... Actually that's why I started the argument over the Grammy he won...
