Hi everyone,

Currently I am playing Football Manager 2008.

Can anyone tell me what situation the “dwells on ball” is it?

In what position such as goalkeeper, center back, full back, wing back, defensive midfielder, central midfielder, attacking midfielder, forward, or striker, of football player that has to be possess that “dwells on ball” preferred moves?

Thank you very much in advance

means he keeps the ball too much. Something like Denilson, if you're old enough to know and the remember Denilson anyway. In real life it means that even the best player in the world can turn out to be actually a big - for the team. Doubt that's the case in the game, but it deff isn't a good thing to have

they often "make mistakes" in the game because the opposition players just tackle the ball and run on

A lot of the preferred moves have opposites. "Dwells on Ball" is the bad version of "Dictates Tempo".

P.S - Welcome to the forum :)

No, we're telling you specifically what it does, you're just not getting it. Dictating tempo is kind of being the maestro of the team, you know, the one who gets the ball and accelerates or pauses the game, whichever the teams needs more in the particular moment.

We told you exactly what it was by saying that it was what people like Pirlo, Scholes, Riquelme, Zidane do, you just didn't get it...

Az, why cant you understand what it means? The player dictates the tempo. Just like, as others have said, Scholes, Riquelme, Zidane, Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas would do. If you want a technical explanation, then i'm pretty sure it improves the teamwork and decision attributes, ensuring the player has the ability to dictate the tempo to the pace he wants to set the game at. Maybe influence? Essentially it will positively effect a few of his mental attributes in a game situation.

Really not hard to understand.

The fact that I play FM does not mean I watch footie that often, I asked for a technical explanation, if I wanted examples, I would have asked for them, thank you Tom for answering.

Bleh, if that sounds mean or angry it's not what I meant. I appreciate people trying to help, but I just didn't find examples helpful.
