Yes, regardless of the squads I choose, it's the same. I play Fifa 15 by the way. :)
I have installed the new Tottenham stadium and even though I can play on it in friendlies the game stubbornly refuses to assign it to Tottenham, regardless what trick I try to pull.
I had the same issue about 2 years ago when I installed London Stadium and couldn't assign it to West Ham but I really can't remember what was the extra step I took when I finally managed to assign it.
Anyway, thanks man!

Have you tried to reset the squad in game, in the custom section?
This is supposed to work for new stadiums not native to the game right? So I download non-native stadium, assign it to a team in CM (am I renaming the stadium files number id or leaving it as is?), regenerate bh, go in game and reset squad and the stadium will work?

True to the bold part.

If you want to put a stadium at the place of an already existing stadium you should get the id of the particular stadium, edit the name (also inside glares.lnx files) of the files of your custom stadium to match that id, put your name edited files in the appropriate game folders (data/scenassets/stadium or fx or crowdplacement) replace if asked. Go to CM16 load your DB then regenerate (you can regenerate with the tool of your choice). Start the game, the old EA stadium should be replaced by your custom one. Warning: This works with most EA ids but not all. Some newer stadium come with radiosity file, using those ids would cause game crash at day time. If you replace mostly generic stadium you are safe.

If you want to add a stadium with a new id, you need to open CM16, load your db, go to the stadium icon, select a stadium that you will use a base, click clone, select your id (I tend to prefer using the id proposed by cm16), edit the stadium informations to your liking, save, go to the team icon, select the team for which you want to assign the stadium, click the refresh icon, assign the stadium to your team, save. Do not close cm16 (you can but why closing it to reopen it just after?). Now edit the files names of your custom stadium to match the id you picked in cm16 (don't forget the glares.lnx files) and like mentioned above put the file with the edited name in the appropriate game folder, replace when asked. Go back to CM16 regenerate and you are good to go. In game, reset the squad in the custom team section, go to profile, save squad. Warning: 1) Depending on the stadium you will use as a base to clone, .rad file might be generated in the data/sceneassets/radiosity folder, delete any file you will find in this folder (if it exists) before regnerating (if you did regenerate before noticing the presence of this file simply regenerate after deleting them.). Those files would cause game crash otherwise. 2) New ids do not have proper night atmosphere and lightning, no solution has been found yet. But three "ghost" EA ids exist (they do not correspond to stadium in game), 174, 177 and 225. If you select one of this id the corresponding stadium will have proper night lightning and atmosphere.

Wow, great info! Thanks for taking the time to break it down so thoroughly. Much appreciated.

Great to know, how did you find out about those IDs? Do you know what stadium originally those IDs were assigned to?

Me again: just did all these steps trying to assign the updated Anfield to Liverpool and nope, my CM stubbornly refuses to do it. After I close CM and open it again I see the new assignement was not saved and the default stadium is another one (not the original Anfield, but that's another story). I simply can not understand why it won't assign it. Any thoughts?

Not sure what it could be... May be when after you assigned the stadium to Liverpool, click on another box of the Liverpool generic page, then click save, then click the refresh button. If it keeps reverting to the previous stadium when you refresh then, there is something strange happening. Otherwise, if when you refresh you still see your "Anfield", I can't see why your change would not be saved and be visible the next time you open CM16.

That's info I gathered by surfing this very forum. I can't tell you what stadium was assigned to those ids, but in CM if you create a stadium with one of those ids you will see the .big picture of the stadium in the model page.

Hey mate, what do you mean here? I mean besides adding the right ID number in the file name is there anything else I need to add/edit?

For ex. if the original file is glares_13_1_0.lnx and the ID of the stadium I want to add is 37, I need to put 37 instead of 13 in the file name, but is there anything else I need to do as well?

Thank you.

Assuming you are asking for fifa 16, If you changed your glare files names from glares_13_1_0.lnx to glares_37_1_0.lnx you need to change the second line of your lnx file
from: <particleEffect name="glares_13_1_0">

to: <particleEffect name="glares_37_1_0">

Make sure that you actually have three numbers after glares.

Thanks man, yes, this is how I do it but I am really giving up now.

I have these 3 new stadiums (Tottenham, Anfield updated and Etihad updated) that I installed (in Fifa 15) and mind you they work. I mean I can play on them in friendlies, no problems, and I even installed Anfield with the 225 ID as you suggested in order to be able to play during night time (and it works! very cool tip mate). So all good, right?

Well not quite. Whatever I do, I can't assign them to their respective teams and I can't therefore use them in careers. Whatever trick I pull, whatever software I use (CM, Stadium Server or even both combined), whatever ID I use, in-game the assignment somehow stubbornly reverts to any other stadium BUT the one I chose; it's like the game is playing a joke on me. :-D Somehow, at some point, I managed to assign the updated Etihad to Man City, but the game either crashes when I try to play or (and here comes the fun part) it funnily starts on some other random stadium, even though in the preview screen it shows the Etihad!

And no, if I just install the new stadium over the old one already assigned (in order to avoid the new assignement process) never works, because if I do that the game crashes all the time at the arena screen.

So I guess I will be enjoying these cool new stadiums only in the kick off mode, lol.

Guys,
celebrating the entry of Torino FC in Europa-League (due to Milan failing financial fair play), i decided to update the OLIMPICO GRANDE TORINO Stadium to the last season...
As suggested by pao4ever, i changed the id number to 41, which replace the Volksparkstadion, hence i found a compromise for the bench positioning and now the players can seat correctly, even if the real bench of Grande Torino are half "underground", but it's a compromise, i cannot found better stadium to replace than Volksparkstadion ...
Also i updated the major sponsors, improved many textures, improved some 3d interior/exterior stuffs (cars, trees).

In the first post you will found the updated link
Ciao!
