PS2 too Old?

every year new games are comming for the PC and PS2. the games are getting better from time to time. the graphics are better every year. i think the ps2 is too slow and not good enough anymore. i played the euro 2004 demo and then played it on the ps2. i couldn't see the stadium good and the crowd is very dark and there are no good light effects. the textures are so bad at the ps2 console that you cant see the player numbers which you can see in the euro 2004 demo for pc very well. in fifa 2004 the light looks much better but the game is much slower. i think they had to push the graphics down in fifa2004 to get the game more faster in euro2004. the euro2004 demo on my old pc looked better. now im looking more forward to fifa 2006 when the PS3 has come out and you
can play on the same level as the pc players. i think the fun doesnt increase anymore which fifa ever you play. years ago when fifa 2001 and 2002 came out it made a lot of fun. fifa 2003 was a big step with light effects and improving the graphic style... now it cant get better anymore because the console is too old.

what do you mean? isn't that right?

I think they should use the xbox as the base platform instead of the ps2.. sega is making the change this year for their espn football title.. and it looks awasome, plus because of the hard drive it allows them to do much more.

Yes, Xbox is more powerful. They should make it for the xbox, it would on the long run be possible for looking better than the PC, because the dev. team know that every xbox owner has the same hardware, unlike a PC, so they can't push a PC game all the way, because if they design it powerful for a certain graphics card, there's too many options to check if another card can't do the certain effects and lets face it, not every PC owner has the same hardware.

If EA are designing FIFA for the PS2, then that means it will take full advantage of the PS2 hardware, but if they did it for the xbox, then the PC and Xbox versions would excel above PS2.

Look at Splinter cell on xbox, then PS2...doesn't take a genius to see the differences, especially when using some of the special effects like night vision...

The PC is capable of a lot, because you can upgrade...but consoles have that advantage because the designers know the hardware spec.

Thats not going to help much.
