PS2 keeps freezing when I change squads?

When ever I press L1 or R1 to switch formations, my PS2 freezes and makes a weird noise. I had the same problem with my last PS2 aswell. Can someone please help me?

I had the same problem on my Gamecube. I had a lot of custom-made player (you know, from create-a-player) and now that I started from new (erased my FIFA files by mistake :boohoo: ) it doesn't do that anymore. I only have 1 custom-made player. Maybe that's it, dunno.

its like a buzzing noise huh?

i get it when i try to play online everyone once and awhile...

get windex and spray it all over the bottom of ur disk... rub clean (from middle to outside)

then run it under the faucet (yes water).. and rub from middle to outside... sounds to me like ur disc is just dirrty
