Problems with Upgrades in Career Mode

Hello there fellow FIFA 05 enthusiasts,

i'm having a rather annoying problem with the upgrades in career mode. I have enough points to spend on upgrades, but every time i click on any one of them, all the game does is show a summary of what the upgrade is and does, but i can't actually purchase it.

Have any of you faced the same problem? Is there a patch available that will rectify this error? Is there something i'm not doing right?

Any help would be much appreciated.

um?...

I know this sounds stoopid, but I have to ask.... have you tried pushing the controller stick right? (or using the right arrow key if no controller?)

Thanks gished, your simple instructions were all i needed. Seems elementary enough but i don't remember the game ever indicated what had to be done...
