Problems with corners and headings

I'm having some problems with the corners... I can't win the ball on the corners, my opponents seem to get it everytime... When I'm having a cornerkick, it almost always ends up to their keeper, and when my opponents having a corner, they always get a shot or a heading at my goal... I used to defend well and score sometimes with fifa2004, but now it seems to be impossible :( Any ideas that can help?

I'm also loosing headings on the pitch, only if I'm all alone I can head the ball, guess I'm doing something wrong here...

and btw, freekicks... I'm only at semipro atm, but I always score on them... That's not so realistic... anyway, euro2004 is the best footballgame ever, I'm all back from pes3 now :D

i'm having the opposite problem with corners. Unfourtunately i score on almost every one. I wouldn't mind if there was diversity in every corner (making it more difficult too) but its the same thing every time.

me? I play on world class against the Computer.

All i do is select in swinging near post and push the computer off to a certain distance and slowly walk back to the circle and head the ball in. Of course i play with italy. Hopefully it gets much harder with sucky teams....

I play with Italy too ;) Never scored on a corner, but Totti slams in every freekick, so I won't loose anyway. Well, thanks for the tip there ishan1990, guess some practice will help. I noticed that headings on the pitch often is won just by holding s or d before the ball reaches the player, not by tapping those buttons like we did it before

i score by choosing the guy who is right next to his oppenent and close to the post by pushin him out of the picture to 1 side a little i press d in the direction of the goal and almost always score

this new corner system is really really gay, i dont like it at all. It was better the way it is awhile back in older fifa games and also the free kick system is crap too, hope they change this in 2005

totally agree with you on the cornersystem, that really need to be changed... imo the pes-system for corners is perfect, just cross the ball in and let the players fight for it in the box...

but I think the freekicksystem is good enough, they should just have switched the curling... I never score if I try to curl it with the inside of the foot, but when I use the outside I score everytime from any angle. Should have been the other way around...

i just found out it depends on the player your tryin 2 head the ball with, because i'm playing as england and i play with owen alone up front who NEVER wins headers (unless he's open) but i gave heskey a start and he has jumping 91 and heading 95 and i've won quite a few header with heskey. so it seems to be based on stats now which is good.

yeah, but its still too easy. If there were so many more ways to score off a corner and it was different every time. I wouldn't mind. Like you have to set your distance and accuracy like a free kick and the cursor moves depending on how good the kick was or how good the kicker is or even the wind. Then you jostle for space. That would be the best.
