problems just after starting the game

I have a problem that I hope you can help. The game installs perfectly but when it starts it asks to create new profile.... when i try to pick my team it simply keeps going to the left, i cannot pick a team because the cursor keeps clicking as if i keep pressing the left arrow. i tried taking off the buttons on the keyboard and there is no problem with them, and it works with every other game i have, i dont ahve a clue what the problem could be and thus i cannot play the game, i hope you can help

Thanks for your help! i am not currently on the computer so i havnt been able to try it yet, just one more question... my computer is a labtop: would that mean that the problem would be a usb keyboard or is the patch just for pc-home computers etc??
