Great - i like that. Makes a welcome change to the glossy player pics FIFA use. This is that famous Italian ref isn't it? Can't recall his name.

Pierluigi Collina, he refereed the last 2 England vs Germany games, the World Cup 2002 England vs Argentina game and the World Cup 2002 final, quite a good ref I hear :hump:

I see Konami's incompetence in the marketing area also includes product packaging -- who the hell sells/packages the best footy game on the planet with a ref???

I'll say it again, FIFA's got Henry, Del Piero and Ronaldhino. WE got Zico and now a ref. Get's people in the stores excited, eh?

Oh well, At least WE7 is coming to the U.S. !!!!

It's different atleast. I think this will make it stand out on the gane shelf amongst all the other glossy player filled box covers. People will pick it up, and the name recognition and blurb on the back will do the rest. Nice colours too.

PES2 just had a close up image of some player's torso, with a white shirt on holding his right hand to his heart (like some people do for the national anthem). PES, just a graphic of some random, sillhouetted player. I'd imagine PES3 will continue in a similar fashion.

Supposedly, WE6:I was the only U.S. PS2 title not to have a player image on the cover...just a ball in the net, very simple, and I guess it did the job ok...but a bad-ass ref with his signature on the cover??? Looks like the first PS2 game about refs. The colors are very nice, though.

We'll see what they have up their sleeves for WE7:I.
