Premier League Champions 2017-18

just finished watching the game and I am absolutely delighted to have won such a phenomenal match. Tottenham were wonderful (probably a better performance than us in terms of spells of dominance and team cohesion) but as I suspected our superior end product and ability/experience to handle knockout and pressure games won the game. despite conceding two goals it was a phenomenal defensive performance as we kept Tottenham out for multiple 15-20 minute spells of complete pressure (i will gloss over the fact that Tottenham should have been down to ten men as Lloris clearly handled the ball outside the box). Man of the match David Luiz was imperious on his 30th birthday - we always said he could be a world class defender if only he could discipline himself and it seems that finally this season has has achieved that. Ake was also wonderful, such a bonus that he did not look out of place in this crucial game and gave a wonderful performance for the full 90 minutes - as such a mobile defender he may actually be a better long run choice for Conte 's style than the less mobile 'blocker' Zouma. Matic thump was incredible, conte decision to hold back hazard and Costa to give us a lethal bench (compared to spurs ' which was lukewarm) showed that he might be improving the one weak aspect of his management this season (substitutions). Really hope willian stays - still has so much to offer and with Europe next season he should get more games. Just a wonderful, wonderful win to show that for all spurs bravery and style, we are still the daddies.

we do however have our own depth issue with wing backs - Alonso was clearly still sick and had an awful first half, but recent games have shown we are much worse without those first choice wing backs. He shouldn't have been playing but putting someone else in that position was even riskier than playing a sick man. Getting adequate cover for those position must be a summer priority

Congrats. What's the feeling Chelsea fans have about Conte's future? There's some speculation he wants to return to Italy because his family didn't move with him to London. The way he left Juve was a very impulsive, emotional decision on his part (pre-season had already begun), the one thing I dislike about him. Dude says one thing and the next moment he abandons ship.

Yeah it's certainly possible. The return to Italy would be most likely with Inter, I dont think it would bother him overly to go to old rivals, and as you say his family is there and they can offer him lots of money and transfer assurances, but on the downside the club seems very unstable and maybe a bit of a basket case.. but are we much better? Rumours are that after the arsenal defeat he was given a harsh meeting with roman, let's hope he doesn't remember that now and bear a grudge. Apparently we are offering him a bumper new deal and transfer assurances of our own. Of course , if barca or bayern come knocking he will go.

but if he goes at least we will be in a better position to recruit a manager than last year. people will want to join this chelsea, and Simeone qmight be available, or even Allegri if you win the treble might think there's no more to win. We don't NEED conte to progress, though of course I would like him to stay and also think him staying is our best chance of doing some serious and quality transfer business.

Congratulations. Better make it a double.

Can you imagine if Conte leaves, and Allegri becomes his more successful replacement at Chelsea too?

Conte would be stupid to go to Inter, and piss away all the good will he has. Plus, he has a point to prove in the Champions League, and it's Chelsea, not Inter, who can offer him that next season.

Oh and tits.
Inter have a shit load of money though. Could be an interesting project. He's better off staying at Chelsea however.

Morata confirmed. Even with add-ons, it's for less than they turned Man Utd away for. Guess Madrid prefered to sell him to you than to them. It all really worked out in your favour, both in terms of player and price.

I never wanted morata to go, he was a brilliant striker and most of all our home grown academy player :(
We are stepping away from our old traditions, when we used to have stars who graduated from the academy. Casillas, Raul, Guti
