I put them 2 i think. Klopp won almost every Direct duel with top teams, lets see if he can find regularity.

I said at the start of the season I predicted (and would be happy with) top six. Early results made me start to dream of top four but we have just so much work to do in a hugely competitive season...

Bleh, the last thing I want is another round of this shitty competition and our team exhausted from a 120-minuter for the weekend game against Arsenal. Why did we pick this game to achieve an epic fight-back?

Oh and tits.
I missed the game and watching now. We've annihilated you within 45 minutes. And Sir_Didier_Drogba anything to say about Koscielny? He has been flawless!

Wait til the end of the season and see if you can still say that (about Koscielny)

I marked these two games (Liverpool and here) as the real test of exactly where we are at, and where we are at is fucking no where

Conte was apparently seething in the post match presser. Beyond pissed off about what the team is doing on the pitch.

Heh... To add insult to an injury, but apparently he wasn't too pleased with the way Chelsea handled their business during the summer transfer window - not really getting the players he wanted and so on. Said something like that a couple of days ago I believe.

Doesn't really justify his sort of mediocre performances so far though. Especially getting their ass handed to them by Arsenal, who by no means have a bad team at the moment.

Wouldn't surprise me if he took the job on the understanding that he would be allowed to bring in a couple of his preferred players regardless of the price. Nainggolan and Bonucci were 2 of them we all know.

Of course Nainggolan turned them down, the money for the purchase was there.

I would have but I can't because I didn't watch the game.

That's not my understanding - I thought we refused to meet Roma asking price. Conte not only didn't get one of his chosen players but had players he clearly doesn't want like David Luiz thrust upon him. And we know he won't just sit there and take it for too long - he laid into Italian fa whilst still Italy manager for perceived lack of backing

Not only that, but Nainggolan seems to be one of those really loyal types and doesn't seem to be pursued by money. Roma sold Pjanić to Juventus already for a huge sum of money so replacing their whole midfield probably didn't suit anyone over there. Regarding the Belgian, he's a fantastic player and reminds me so much of Vidal. Would've been an useful signing no matter what. Chelsea should've just paid over the odds like we did with Pogba. He's a gamechanger.

Bonucci was out of the question from the start, and it's kind of sad to see that Chelsea had to end up with David Luiz. Kind of a panic signing in the end.

Anyway I'm a fan of Conte and I hope it all works out for ya guys and he doesn't get sacked too early for some silly reason. He's a quality manager and it'll take some time. Early days yet.

Absolutely spot on. At least you're lucky that you managed to sign Kanté.. Would've loved to have him at United, he's exactly something like we're missing.

It's quite clear that Conte didn't get the team he wanted and hasn't gotten the team playing like he wants to.

But anyway, patience is the key.. Eventually the results will start coming considering his quality.. So don't worry.

I'm pretty confident I can say that by the end of the season. Of course, he may have a few errors and bad performances but since his return he has been easily the best CB in the league. Now also we have a proper CB pairing him who looks to be up to standard.

Anyway, what you guys made of Iwobi?

Really surprised about Ibowi to be honest. Especially that Wenger has placed enough trust in him to start in such important matches. Impressive player with a big future ahead of him, probably.

It's most likely too far fetched but some Arsenal fans are saying that he looks better for example than Sterling when he first started out for Liverpool.

Anyway he's good, no doubt about that.

Technically he is. First touch, application, speed of thought and confidence to finish. Amazing awareness and combination play for such a young player. Sterling is small and really fast for dribbles and off the ball movement. Intelligent too. Doesn't have Iwobi technique though but he is actually good defensively where Iwobi has trouble frequently.
