Please Help, I cant play Fifa 2005

Hi I need help, everytime I run Fifa 2005 when the language option appears the flags pass really fast its imposible to choose your desired flag. and then when I enter the game I cant choose any option too because the same problem appears with the menu. (Its like if you pressed the down arrow and leave it like so)

what controller do you have also? I had a problemn like that with my Logitech dual action controller for PC, all I had to do was replace the controller and the problem was fixed.
