Hi,

I am having a few online problems with PES5 and I hope someone call help.

I am connecting through BT ADSL (uk)

I have set up the connection with the software which came with my network adapter for my playstation 2. (i however did not install central station, i just went into the add new connection on the disk) I have been told this will also work.

I go into network on PES5 and get connected without a problem, however, the connection freezes on "testing network enviorment" is verifyies dnas etc but freezes on this. I have heard of a few people that have had this problem but they do not know how to resolve it.

Can someone please help me?

Cheers

Steven

I had this problem with the US version and I called my broadband provider and they gave me the number for the manufacturer of the modem. I called the manufacturer and they walked me through fixing the problem which involved opening up a port on the NAT table. It didnt work and since I couldnt get through after that I just decided to turn off the firewall when playing online w/ winning eleven. The firewall decides what goes in and what comes out, so by turning this off everything will be allowed to pass unchecked. THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT LEAVE THE MODEM CONNECTED TO YOUR COMPUTER FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE OF MINUTES (DISCONNECT IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE) AFTER YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY DISABLED THE FIREWALLTo begin, connect your modem to your computer and open up an internet browser. Type in your gateway address in the web address bar (default is 192.168.2.1). If it asks for a password type 1234 because this is usually the default. Every modem has something different that comes up but just look around the site for your firewall settings and turn it off. Quickly disconnect it from your computer after turning the modem off and connect the cables to your PS2. Turn on the PS2 before turning on the modem.
Do not leave the modem connected to your computer with the firewall disabled because the firewall plays a crucial role in stopping hackers getting into your system. If you are going to connect the modem back up to your computer then right after it is connected do the same thing as before but this time enable the firewall. First try calling your internet provider and if they cant help you, which they should be able to, then try this.
