Player's Morale

For instance i have a small squad and my regular first team player has morale "Poor" or "Very Poor". How do i boost the player's morale stick with him in the first team or chuck him to the reserves to help boost his confidence?

Played 4, won 1, drawn 1, lost 2.

if you win games and your players are getting 7 or 8's, EVERYONES will improve, even the ones who arnt playing

Try and bring in a player with a high influence, but he has to be someone who you know will play well and has good leadership. Some one like Roy Keane.

yeah thats a point, make sure you have a captain with high influence and high decisions.

I just use the player that is longer at the club as a captain

I do that too Alex, I prefer a player around 30, long at my club, preferably a defender and he has to have high influence and decisions.

edit: He has to be from the nation my team is from. (A dutch captain at PSV in example)

I use player with longest time at club, player with allot of intl caps and high influence, tackling & decisions

ok, it seems like im the only one who uses a captain with high influence and decisions only then

I just made an 18yr old defender from PSV my captain, and with Millwall im 3rd in the league with everyone on Superb morale.

The captain doesnt have to be from the country, I play a Serbian captain, in my PAOK game, and the team is mostly superb, or very good.

The Southampton squad that i took over in 06/07 doesn't have anyone with both high influence and decisions. Looks like i might have to go looking for a captain.
