Player Retirements...

I don't really understand why EA can't do something for that....
So, I was playing with Roma in career mode, but just when the day of the 1st pre season match Totti wanted to retire at the end of the season,...it's just ridiculous, I even offred him 1, 2, even 3 years of contract but he everytime announces his retirement I also checked the "isretiring" but the value is 0 so I think he wasn't going to retire according to the database, I mean he's only 36 and he said that if he had the ablility he would play until the age of 40, can I do something without having to change his age with DBM 12 ans starting a new carrer? Last year I remember with AFC Wimbledon I've bought Nassim Akrour (Algerian attacker) and he retired at 38, 39, or 40, why did EA just remove the "retirementage" column? (last appearance in FIFA 11) and can't they do something for this problem?

Somewhere shoud be this column. Players cant play till 70 . But I agree, this is very stupid...

That's what I did but he decided to retire

You can always change players' birthdates so they're 30 instead of 36, etc. That will fix the issue. Because you don't care what Totti's real birthday is; all you care about is that he plays a few more years before retiring. So there's you workaround.

Read my previous post. Make your players 20 years old, they won't retire for 15 years of career mode. Is that not good enough?

Do you mean it's a lot of work? If so, yes. But that depends on how many players you feel you need to edit. Open the players table with excel, organize the birth date column from oldest to youngest players, then start making a few edits. I'm guessing you won't need to edit more than 100 players which shouldn't take you more than a hour or so. Not much of a time tradeoff considering you'll be playing the game with your edited roster for the next year.
