I think I found the reason for 'china' and other 'unregistered player'.

online mode (in we8.exe) has only 4922 player slots. But EditPES4OptionFile uses 4999. The China team are almost recreated using 'unused player' slots beyond 4922, such as #4996 Li Leilei.

The only way to solve the problem (as I know) is to move those players in 4923-4999 (totally 77) to proper slots, like overwriting free agents. A huge work to be done. Maybe you can help, mancyrix,

and as i not know much of database and transfer etc,
so, maybe leave the solution be done by anyone who have the ability to do so.

also, i just notice that, using dkzstudio to edit team name would make all team names be corrupted after saved and reload *u*~~~

- Fixed the got captain/kickers with licenses.
- Fixed the team names (exporting teams) when it have utf-8 chars.

**The team names in exe file MUST have a null terminated character, if not, the text length will got wrong.
Use only original exe files or modified by this program for don't get problems.

even i not edit anythings, by opening and saving directly, then reopen database editor again and load those files, all names corrupted......

maybe due to i am using traditional chinese winxp???

what intro? the intro video is from Wolf's patch, and is done by reefur, not by me.

for the new option file to take effect in master league, you need to import para_we8.bin, then restart the master league. you have to do this everytime you get a new option file update.

But for myself, I just stick with the present team anyway and just continue on, since I've brought in so many new players that aren't in the team in real life anyway.

The team I chose, Benfica, has 2 of them (Beto and Anderson). I've also tried with a couple of other teams and they have the same problem. Celtic has Telfer, Camara, and Virgo with the problem.

Phoenix, please check this for yourself. I did import the para_we8.bin and if you start a master league, the players are still screwed up! The same cause as 'online mode'. The #4923-#4999 players can't be used in Master League and Online without some fix we don't know.

In Online mode, those players are displayed as 'unregister players'; in Master League, they are displayed as correct name, wrong stats (all zero).

There's no easy solution to it until now as I know. If you know how to 'import/export' players in option file, the work can be reduced a lot. I know Dkz data base editors can export players less than #4922.

btw, I found no different effects in game playing between the para_we8.bin created by EditPES4OptionFile 1.35 and by save2para 1.05. But Dkz does report error with EditPES4OptionFile version. Don't know why, either. save2para can do one thing EditPES4OptionFile can't, patch the we8.exe.

yup, save2para1.05 really useful for me as it really could modify we8.exe in a good degree,save much effort to modify it.

so i use save2para instead to generate para,


for team names edit...
i today re tested using dkz database editor,
as i have mentioned before, my system is winxp traditonal chinese version

and when i edited anything by dkz database editor, those team neams etc are all messed up......


however, after i change my winxp to region ENGLISH(US) , unicode ENGLISH (US)
and use dkz again, all team names can be saved properly, (as i remember dkz is spanish program,,,i think change to spanish region also ok)

except i find those japnese wordings "NAMES" of team are become "??????"
after saving...

(for dkz editiing team info, having NAME,TEAM NAME,SHORT NAME, )


i wonder of those part is having any effect on the game??

Several fixes to the greek teams:

AEK - 1. Ive never heard of Pedro Moita... Remove him
2. Alexopoulos needs a face

Olympiakos - 1. Ivan Rezic, Pappas, and Dragutinovic all out
2. Haruna Babangida in (#40) (1.67m, 70kg)

3. Kyriakos needs a face (hes second from the right)
4. Yaya Toure is black (hes on the far left)

5. Dani Garcia is #20

Panathinaikos - 1. Never heard of Fillipos... Overwrite him with young Greek prospect Leontiou (#27) (1.82m, 70kg)

2. Torghelle isnt bald, he has a blonde mohawk

General Fix - The 2 players by the names Vintra and Vyntra are the same person. Its the back for Panathinaikos, one of the can be deleted and used for another player.

These are minor details, but im just letting you know. The rest of the patch rocks. Good work!

error after playing the game... like it crashes halfway? did you try rebuilding the afs again? not too sure, but it might help.

djperthglory --> you might also want to try playing all your matches as 2-player games, if you have a gamepad. Switch one of them to manager mode and use the other to play. It worked for me b4.

Pitiful to say, it seems most of us don't have time or anything to do fixing it in a certain time. mmmm, how about you guys loving ML and Online fix the bugs by your own? It's quite easy but need a lot of time.

I have one question: in the next(let us hope final) update, could you improve Darren Fletcher's stats? He is a first team regular in Man U this season and is showing a great improvement, I mean he is getting better and better. Also a slight update in Man U formation would be good. They are now playing 4-3-3 with the following positions and players:

Ronaldo v.Nistelrooy Rooney

Scholes Keane Fletcher


Heinze Silvestre Ferdinand Neville(O'Shea)
