PES6 pc Opinions

The gameplay compared to WE9I is completely different now. Shooting is different. The feel of the game doesnt really have no midfield battles. Its more of an end to end game compared to WE9I. PES6 defending is VERY VERY hard. I tried to play at the hardest level right away and got my ass handed to me with a mediocre team. BUT attacking seems very very very easy with players like Henry, rooney, owen. they just sprint like nothing past defenders too easily.

There is actually more satisfaction in keeping a clean sheet now than there is scoring a goal. I have to play it more to get better on defending cus right now trying to adjust from WE9I is very very hard defensivly.

Through balls are better however and allow for better action. This is what I think so far and hopefully I can get better defending.

Can you choose 6* difficulty from the beggining or do you have to unlock it? If so, what else needs to be unlocked?

Agree totally, I was playing on line against barca and this dude was doing "coast to coast" all the time with the big three (ron, mes and eto). No way to stop him. Very unreal: also on line the cheap goals have increased not decreased. the usual wing that passed the ball to avoid the goly to an unmarked man. Dunno whether this will really grow on me.

I agree. I am starting to get a hang of it and scored some decent goals so far. An exceptionally beautiful one with Ximenez going inside on the box, rounding the defence an spinning it around the keeper in the top corner with his right foot. Lovely. I am playing ML on 3* and I am struggling (albeit with the default team). I think it is in many ways a huge improvement over last year's version, and i like how speed finally matters and the CPU doesn't always catch up, but the dribbling speed of the computer-players is way out of control. It seems they had a cup of coffee too many (nothing which editing couldn't alleviate though)

Unfortunately there are still some of the well-known PES 'characteristics' like the CPU scoring late goals. Just had an ML match in which i scored the lead (2-1) in the 89th minute. On the counter attack the CPU equalized. Can't be PES without these idiotic 'can't-do-anything-about-it' goals in injury time. Someone at Konami must really think every other football match has to be like ManU-Bayern 99, otherwise we would be bored... :)

Biggest gripe yet is whenever you actually manage to put a foot in between a CPU player's dribbling and momentarily dispossess him of the ball, your player either stumbles or pauses or does some other stupid thing until the CPU player (or a teammate) can pick the ball up again. I've been having dozens of situations in which TWO of my man round the CPU player up, hit the ball, but in the end the CPU player has it again as if it was glued to his feet. Maybe that goes away with better players but i have the feeling this is replacing the referee whistling this off in PES5.

Dear oh dear.

After playing this 'pes5 beta 2 patch with not all the bugs corrected yet' for two nights I can't stop laughing thinking about what type of people are developing this game. They are so incompetent it's bewildering and worrying.

LMHO, konami are having a laugh. This is indeed a patched version of pes5 without some of the annoying bugs still not corrected, konami have some fecking nerve releasing this tosh, but as many people are saying it's apparent konami standard's are drastically dropping and nobody at konami gives a damn the ship is sinking.

The online mode appears to be less laggy than pes5 but not a huge improvement.

It might keep some ps2 player's and some pc owners who are obviously easy to please and just accept what is given to them, but for people with higher standards this is just inexcusable and the fact konami have the nerve to release this as 'pes6' does sum konami up at the moment.

It's nothing but pure robbery, and konami are getting off with it .....

Through PES6? Shin-shin-shin-gan.

Period. Best football simulation I've ever played.

By far. Still could be better? Yes.

Still the best. Easily.

Isn't the PC version a port of the Xbox360 version (and if it isn't, why the hell not)? Is the PC the official "half @ssed" version?

This is the first year I'm looking at getting the PC version of PES (I've always found it plays much better on consoles). Does PES for PC get a lot of mods (is PES6 mod-friendly)?

Where can I find the system requirements? I can't find them anywhere?

thanks

Have they fixed the strange shooting where you are sprinting on the right wing and your player would kick the ball with outside of the left foot and it goes in to the top corner? It is really unrealistic.

First impressions of this game is that it is really good and enjoyable.

It is way better than PES 5 and other previous versions (played them all).
I must say that ditching this game is an absolute disgrace  . U guys crying need to wake up cause I see vast improvements.

You might see vast improvements - that's your opinion.

My opinion is more like this game is a total rip-off, with no improvements to warrant the name "PES6" - more like "PES 5.1".

It's awful.

People always cry when a new PES game comes out... I hated PES 5 for the first few days, then grew to love it... So I'm not judging this one until a few days later (tho I like it already).

I, for one, absolutely love it. I love how much KONAMI change the PES/WE seies between titles without really changing very much... if that makes any sense. As far as I'm concerned, they can stop develeping the graphics part of the game at this point; we're playing football with little computer guys and wasting precious resources on graphics seems to me little more than an exercise in futility.

I know very few people would agree with me on that point but I'm an old-school kinda gamer: playability is one, two and three on my list, and I think the series have reached a whole new level of playability. Everything has been tweaked and we finally have realistic ball shielding and decent AI so you can actually play creative, attacking football. Player response is vastly improved, as is general control. My little guys finally understand what I'm trying to tell them via my joypad!

Things that were a little too difficult (taking opponents on, crossing, keeping the ball on the bloody pitch when wide on the flanks) have been made easier and things that were a little too easy (sliding tackles, shooting in general, pinpoint 60-yard flying through-balls etc.) have been made more difficult. The result is an amazingly true-to-life football simulation and, as far as I'm concerned, the very pinnacle of modern fooball gaming. To quote some critic rating Sensible Soccer back in the day, PES6 is "beyond the merest inkling of a suggestion of a shadow of doubt, the best football game ever".

To sum up: I'm impressed.

I like the keepers in pes6!
Also going up for a header after a long lick out etc is far better, not as scripted.

I have to say if you cannot tell the difference between pes5 and pes6 , then just go play Fifa. This is the best version yet , ok next gen graphics would be nice but as a previous poster said its all about the gameplay.

Seems gone. I had Ximenez (left-footer) go inside from the left and he used inside of his right foot to score. In earlier versions he would have used the outside of the left foot as you describe it.

Has anyone notice how hard it is to win headers now??? You have to fight for it like in fifa07, BUT of course it looks very different. Also the AI is very good at scoring headers. OMG I just got slaughtered with Colombia against chile 4-0. This never happened to me ever. Looks like I have to play with the really good teams before I even think of winning any titles with mediocre teams like I did in WE9. which I find to be a good thing :rockman:
