PES6 pc Opinions

Dudes,

I wanna know what you think of the game. I have to say I have very mixed feelings. I mean one year since the 5th and we have exactly the same graphics, same stadium (bernabeu being the exception), one league less(german).

I mean few tweaks here and there, slower pace and no more autoside step (i got used to it anyway). But i am not really sure this is worse 40 euros.

Your comments and opinions are welcome.

You are right about the graphics. I guess they're tweaks to the gameplay and A.I. took so many PS2 memorypower that there wasn't any left for the graphics. I even think they are a bit less than in PES5. I guess we'll have to wait for the port of the PS3 version (PES7?) to see a real improvement in this department. I hope that will also be true for the amount of leagues and clubs and options.

Gameplay-wise I think PES6 is -again- a big improvement over it's predecessor. I find that the players react much mure subtle to my controller, and the A.I. of my teammates is also very good. The passing system is bettered also (notice the through pass) and super cancel is implemented better. I like the game, but I am still in the early phase of getting to know it.

Yes it is. Here in Holland anyway. I play it on PC. My reference to the PS2 was because of the fact that the PC version is a port of the PS2 one and therefore inhibits the same limitations as that one.

It does run fairly smooth, but maybe not as smooth as PES5 did. I experienced a slight hickup here and there (on a 10 months old Dell).

Are you're going to make an option file, Wolf?

Possibly, it really depends on how good the editing section is. I haven't got the game yet but I might try to put something together with transfer updates this week and update the premiership teams and badges.

IMO same as PES5. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what they did about the audience 'bug' of last year: this year the stands are not empty but instead you have a super-ugly static texture lying over the ranks. only in replay do you see actual 'spectators'. i checked it on full settings, and it's the same. just hope LOD Viewer will be able to fix this. Come on Konami!...

Gamplaywise it feels A LOT like what PES5 should have been. Not that much difference. What I like is that wingers make good runs into space now. While generally refs are more lenient (thank god), slide tackles seem to be booked quite easily. Had three of them so far, all three yellow cards. Other than that I haven't seen much that is vastly new. Played three matches on "Professional", got once battered by Barca 0-3. Think I am out of practice. Need to play more, I guess. So far a little underwhelmed but it'll take time.

great shame in the games are the keepers.sometimes they will make terrific and realistic stops and other times you want to destroy the game after the keeper does his funny stuff and concedes stupid goals.the positioning of the keeper is really bad sometimes....but all in all the game is far better than PES5. :jap: :jap:

I am running FRAPS and I have several slow down, particularly at the beginning of the game.

One more thing: i tried to register on line and it said the my code already existed??? I mean anyone with the same problem?

For the rest it seems that my forward do not attack the space as much as in PES5, i have to work my ass off to create an opening.
Keepers can make unbelievable crap.

And I can't wait to see some decent uniforms and pitches.

I have a question. I live in sweden and so far PES 6 will not be realased before 10/2. So, how is ML? Is there more divisions now or is it just two as usual?

Also.... what about offisides??? Any hairline (literally) decisions like in PES 5.. has it been sorted? Cus that really got me annoyed (6)

I dunno people, I don't seem to like it. The one thing that annoys me a lot is that both the ball and the players have lost weight, it does remind me a lot of PES4 slowed down (the crows looks exactly like in PES4).

Also I find the player model kinda of weird.

Maybe it just does not fit my way of playing but for some moments I thought I was playing FIFA. But maybe I just got used too much to PES5
