wat is with ppl and complaining about too fast gameplay? HAVE YOU SEEN REAL LIFE FOOTBALL? Go watch a man utd game on tv and then compare the speed of the player running down the wing in the tv match to the pes2008 match, then ask yourself which is too fast?

Slower? I had a look that the PC page and the game on there Barca v Inter was the same speed, it was ping ping passing and fast player movement. I could see no difference in the speed of the full game to that of the demo.

Its way faster than PES6

The speed of sprinting is fine but its the overall speed of the game, its fast in passing and cpu player movement even when you try standing still or a walking pace. The speed of the cpu coming at you means you have to speed up..

What you want and what you see in games on TV or live is, slow build up even at walking pace then bursts of speed. But PES2008 is fast all the time.

Mates, one thig's for sure...THIS GAME IS GONNA ROCK!!!! I can't wait to play with Inter!!! The away kits are perfect...don't really like Ibra's face though...I liked the PES6 one more...

Anybody know when the game comes out in the US?

Really? Because some people/sites say it will come out November, and others say in the spring...the truth is that Konami really haven't made anything official for the US....

Thanks for the link! (Y)

One last question: Is there a significant difference between the Euro version and the US version? I'm talking about features, gameplay, etc...

For example, was PES6 different from PES2007? If so, how?

What a load of bull, you expect a game to just let you stand there with a ball without a challenge?

You have to speed up because it's like a real match, you get closed down quickly.

You don't have to play at 100 miles an hour all the time, i've carefully built an attack in the demo and that was a nice even pace, and i'm sure the full game is alot better.

I've played Fifa 08 next gen and that is like playing in tar it's that slow, that is the most un-realistic game i've ever had the missfortune to play, i'm just glad that we have PES to fall back on year in year out, as EA are ******* ****!

Yeah, the only things missing are rollators.

First of all, I think the gameplay is very good, it has a nice, solid speed. Shots however are like firing bullets, but I think that has changed.

What I think MightyTic was saying is that it would be realistic for the players to show signs of fatigue by the gameplay. For example, as the match goes on, you should start seeing players walking more often. And also if for example the GK passes the ball to a defender, the strikers shouldn't just CHARGE at you...

sound is ****. you can hear the players slide tackling and all touches on the ball.

obviously shows that this year's development team at Konami haven't watched a soccer match on TV in a while.

10.10.2007 13:22 Uhr - Now it eventually has happened: The football simulation series Pro Evolution Soccer takes the plunge into next graphic generation. Instead of the usual, antiquated Playstation-2-appearance, PC-owner now get high resolution graphics, including nice blades of grass, animated mugs of players and 3-D spectators. That it's not only the graphic, but first of all the fun we should know since Tetris at the latest. Does PES 2008 have the same awesome gaming experience like its forerunners? Definitely! The physics of the ball is as realistic as never before. New player animations enhance the game play and even the already much discussed diving option is very attractive. After all, this sad lack of sportsmanship belongs to football nowadays like David Hasselhoff to his bottle of whiskey. That's why it's only consequent that Konami leaves it up to the player, if he cheats or not. The master league is motivating as always, although we miss the big innovations. The new licenses (Turkey, Brazil, Portugal) give hope that in the upcoming PES games less teams with wrong names and pajamas will run on the pitch. German players have to get over that, except for the Bayern from Munich, the German Football League is missing the second year in a row. Interesting detail: On the PC the game speed is even a bit slower than the technically identical versions for consoles. That's why tackles appear more intense. This year PES 2008 is not only a must-have for fanboys but also for depressed supporters of the competitors, who can't be bothered by the edged player models and unsightly animations in FIFA 08. 9 out of 10, outstanding! To the right you can find a complete match (Inter VS Barca) and 159 screenshots with an unbelievable 1920x1200-resolution.
