After watching Thierry Henry (AKA God ) do a little chip straight down the middle yesterday, I was wondering if you could do the same in FIFA. It would be well good to see the goalie on the floor helpless as he watches the ball slowly loop straight down the middle.

cuz we talking about penalties lol anyways that goal was cool i wish we could do that in fifa games and by the way why was that insulting to given ? who cares ? either hes a dumbass for guessing wrong or hes not good enough to stop the chip shot, then i dont see it as a insult. ANd may i add i played goalkeeper and i never got wrong before ever, well maybe its becuz i havent play against these world class players but hell i would wait until the ball is kicked before i dived and i know its hard to react to it when its hit with alot of power but oh well if i dont move then i can save it if it went down the middle but i still dont understand why goalkeepers get wrong. Well i always try to explain it to my non playing american friends why the keeper dive the other way But really for me i still dont understand im sure i would never guess wrong cuz like i said i would just stand there in the middle and dive when the ball is kicked EDIT:lol dive when the ball is in the back of the net lol

Well look most players kick the ball hard so it travels fast so goalkeepers try to guess before the player shootsso he has time to stop it...
And Henrys goal was a Panenka penalty, you have to be very confident a skilful to do that type of shot I love em

I dont think good goalkeepers should guess on penalties no more, i know the ball travels fast and you cant react to save it but if you look at it this way its just like any old shot from inside the box and the best thing about it is that theres no defenders to get in your way but other than that im sure a few good keepers could save it without guessing so i guess they need to work on their reaction time becuz im sure some penalties arent perfectly placed where the keeper cant reach it and even if it is its no big deal cuz 90 percent of pks are suppose to score anyways

I'd like to control the goalkeeper more during the game, like during free-kicks, and one-on-ones.

speaking of the goalie could you bring him up for a last minute corner in desperation if you're losing. that would be cool a bit like pulling the goaltender in the nhl games

I wish on the console games that when you play multi-player with a friend on the same team that there are player-locks like in NBA live. So one person can lock on the goalie and be him the whole game and the other can be the field players...

umm no.. it was Panenka from Czech Republic he made the first that first kind of penalty like 30 years ago in the old CL
