I hope you guys can help me out..

I've downloaded the public demo ( http://www.gamershell.com/news/41923.html )

of Pes2008 but ...

I can only play at 640x480 and 720x480 low

I received this " error "

"warning
Your computer does not meet the minimum specifications necessary to run this software. You may experience errors during operation. The video card does not have the necessary specifications. (VRAM 64mb) "

windows Vista ultimate
asus fusion p35
quad core 6600
gtx 8800 768mb new 163.71 driver (163.69 tried)
2x500gb WD
4 gig1066 ocz ram

I appreciate your help !

I don´t have Windows Vista, but I think you should run first the Vista performance test (a new feature that comes with Vista), you have an excellent PC to run the game in full detail without problems, so I should do that (look at control panel).

I havent tested the demo since there is no support to 1680x1050. Any other resolution make the games looks crap on my lcd.

I have the same problem, my LCD is 1680x1050 and the most close to that resolution the game recognizes is 1600x900, still looking crap :S

Lets hope Juice will have the kitserver and LODmixer ready by the release of the full version hehe :)
How would you think that possible without the game released? If I were juice or robbin, I wouldn't work on the demo, just to have to fix it again.

Help....minimum system requirement error

I can't run this game without an error message. This is my system:

Intel Q6600 @ 3.4 Ghz
4096 MB DDR2-800
Asus P5K
8800 GTX @ 621/1998 Mhz
Vista Business x64

My Vista performance score is:

Processor 5.9
Memory 5.9
Graphics 5.9
Gaming Graphics 5.9
Harddisk 5.7

When I tried to play the game it gave an error message

I can't believe that my system is not powerful enough to play this game. I can even play Bioshock at the maximum settings without any problem. Does anyone know why others with lower system are able to run the demo properly while I can't?

Thanks in advance.

Starting XI
Ok, here are my impressions after about 15 games:
+ Great graphics and animations
+ The new AI engine is amazing
- Game is way too fast
- Keepers are a disaster
- The ball "feels" heavy
- Midfield is too congested

night

Starting XI
More negatives after more games:
- The ball rolls out way too quickly. It's as if the turf is too slippery
- Players take a bit too long to respond when executing shots
- CPU players barely try to do anything from the outside of the area
- Most CPU goals are from very close range or stupid rebounds

Hi guys. I know there is a patch to play the demo in higher resolutions but my question is why can't I see the option 1680x1050 in the settings for PES2008 demo although I have that option in PES6? Is it because it is just the demo or will I have that resolution back when the actual game comes out?
Cheers:)

this game is incredible, very realistic not like FIFA which I used to place since 94 :S
I couldn't believe they can make a game like this one :D

the reason why some people find it too fast, is because maybe you're playing with Vsync OFF.... turn it on and set the max framerate at 60 fps!!

I've been waiting for a really long time for pes 2008 but.. it's not quite what I expected :/ first of all the sprinting looks weird and I hate it. second, shooting feels like being Raiden in mortal kombat and throwing thunders towards the goalkeeper. third, the goalkeepers jump like frogs or sth because of the new shooting thing. fourth, gameplay doesn't feel the same to me. I don't feel like I have good control over my players. anyway I'm kinda disappointed about all that with the demo BUT I'm sure that the full version will be different and much better. I'm still looking forward to it like hell since I hear that konami had 'trouble' about its demos for pes. no need to say anything about the good stuff, they added many teams, the graphics are stunning, I can even run it with everything full and high and I have an AGP card :P I'm sure that we'll have the best series so far in October :)

Can't believe nobody's mentioned this but maybe its just happening to me? There have been 3 own goals in 3 games ive played, one which i watched, the other two the opposition scored. In one the keeper pushed the ball away after a corner but somehow the ball went the other way into the net

Also, regular difficulty is so much easier, i still find it hard in regular in pes 6 but ive won all my games in 2008. But top player is a lot harder, so thats wierd.

Have to play on low settings coz i have integrated graphics on my laptop but graphics still look good.

Overall, its really good, cant wait for the final release

Yes there are more own goals and the keepers don't hold a lot of shots. But PES6 demo had the same issures and they were ironed out in the final version.

The 5* difficulty seems a bi harder which is fantastic news!! Can't wait to get my ass whooped by CPU :) They attack a lot smarter now!

Just played 90 minutes with the time expander (so 1 sec in PES is 1 sec irl). Won on 5* with Brazil 25-13 against Argentina,.. allthough I have to mention that their keeper got send off in the 53th minute. I had 9 yellow cards though haha.. 1 for diving, 2 for sliding and the other 6 for just holding the X button.
