Gameplay from Jan 23 is awesome man. The pace is good. Players have weight to them. Momentum is good. Shot variety is good and headers have pace when appropriate. Keep up the good work.

Sorry I was not clear, I meant that my players are slow in dribbling, as if there was a delay in response to commands..

The pace of the game however is perfect! ;)

As for the AI opponent at legend, or I'm good in defense but it seems to me that I shoot enough to door.

Paul another question, I play with the modding way with 6.0 database, this can affect your gameplay?

hello Paulv2k4 your gameplay patch from january 23 is amazing...really good. Only one thing which need little change is shot physic...I think ball should drop down a little bit more when you shooting..can you look in to it please ? Other than that just WOW ! thanks for this patch man !

As far as i know. TACKLE controls amount of tackle, but its decision based so its hard to get the correct value.

This stuff is not as simple as, "oh I want lots of tackles, therefore I should increase that to 100".

Plus this question has been asked for years on this forum, you wont be surprised to not find the answer elsewhere too.

Paul last gameplay (28 gennaio) is superb!!!

Now the only thing missing is a CPU that shot more on goal,more long and diffcult shots!

A new game experience.


Now, since I'm not very good at playing, could You give me some advice, or change to be made to your cl.ini, especially with regard to the defense?

The defending seems really hard because off the ball, my players speed is so slow which doesn't really make sense if you think about in reality. When a player have the ball, they are going to be slower than the player without the ball. Please fix this issue.

Really a great gameplay Paul !!

The cpu is more varied in the attack and shot more , good!

Only note ,at legend level the cpu is too weak for me!

Anyway best gameplay patch so far! ;)

I love this forum on times. No-wonder some of us take breaks from it. You get two completely contrasting views on the exact same mod.

1. Its too hard
2. Its too easy

Make up your minds, please! :)

--- If your finding defending hard, try and remember to press, keep moving and push the attacker wide from goal. If you stop, they will turn you and score. STOP SPRINTING!!
--- Watch what players you buy for your team in Career mode, I have found players of OVR 87 are worse than players who are OVR 65. The OVR has been discussed many times on the EA forums and means nothing really. I use two 65 rated defensive midfielders to help defend and they put themselves into every tackle. They have good aggression and tackle ratings, that is all.
--- Tactics are huge in this version (Im guessing Supernova has it perfect), I had to change tactic shape and instructions a few times before I started winning again. -- I went on a 7 game losing streak!! :|

THE OTHER OPTION IS:
You all could tweak the sliders to change the game.
-- If your finding your own players (especially defending) too slow then adjust the acceleration slider.



That's all I can say really. I find it quite enjoyable at the moment.

For me it's realistic I just had a match against Chelsea in PRO level.

They dominated me 2-0 but I do have some plenty nice chances that I couldn't put in. I felt challenged and fun at the same time. That is the most important thing. Challenged Yet Fun.

EDIT : Hey paul, can you share your settings? Or did you made chances to Sliders by any chances?

it's been disabled/removed by EA. it's about core programming. not a simple ini file editing.
so you can't enable handballs.

as i know that handball feature casuses some serious bugs in the game. it's been disabled because of this.

What about game of side part of pitch Fidel? The side player are play more offensive? I ask because I have new Windows and I will have Fifa tomorrow. You fix "side" player?

Hi Paul thanks for your work.
Your cl.ini really improves the game; although there some annoying things about this fifa that I don't know if could be fixed. Anyway let's try... here some questions if you may answer:

- Difficulty level decreases or increases by increasing the values? Example: 2 is easier or more difficult than 4? Actually I tried 4 but didn't notice any difference

- cpu passing % error: it's so hard to balance! I don't know if you tweaked something or not, I don't know the code. Anyway still with your cl.ini I had to increase the slides passing cpu error values till 80% to have cpu playing "humanly" otherwise it never mistakes a pass. With 80% passing error, statistic are correct (75 to 85% average cpu correct passes) but this way cpu makes really stupid passes sometimes, unrealistic mistakes. Especially with crosses. Slides shouldn't affect crosses but actually they do. Is there a way to increase cpu crosses accuracy and decreasing cpu ground passes at the same time without touching the slides?

- Dribblings? Did you then find a way to balance them? They are way too easy. Using a fast winger I can dribble all the cpu team at legendary. I had to make my own database with very lowered attacking values and very improved defending values. Now the game is playable but still dribbling runs are too easy on the wings. Question is: is there a way to make cpu defend better on the sidelines? Also there is the opposite problem: they defend too good in the middle area near outside the box: I still have to score with a shot just outside the penalty box, while if I play on the wings I can score easily with low and high crosses.

- Stamina! I'm using moddingway so I don't know if it affects stamina some way but I have my own modified db with really lowered stamina values (down to 50%) and still players have 75% stamina toward the end of the match. I tried to change some fatigue/stamina values in the cl.ini but no luck. Any tip?

To sum up I don't know if you guys feel the same but I think that main problems with this game are the following:

Too static defenders/too easy dribblings (i'm experimenting with a modified db and I managed to improve this problem).
Cpu never mistaking a pass at legendary/mistaking really stupid passes if slides error increased (fixable through cl.ini?).
Sidelines build up play too easy/middle area too difficult (cl.ini will help?).

There were other things I didn't like but those are really improved with Paul's cl. While the ones I mentioned still are annoying me so any tip to improve them is really appreciated

Hi Paul, your mod is brilliant only i have one problem..

I play 10minute halves, on World Class, however i'm only seeing 3-4 fouls per game (most of them are mine tbh) so the A.I don't really commit to tackles resulting in fouls.

Could you not try to make fouls higher for AI?

^ I agree. Amazing game play, probably the best I've experienced in terms of realism. However, I've found that the A.I also don't commit many fouls, and the ones they do commit don't seem to get paid:/

The latest updates have overpowered the opposition IMO. League 2 players are playing like pros against Premier League sides and not to mention, the opposing GK usually ends up with MOTM with a rating of 8.8 or something similar.
