You have to hold the 's' button longer to make the goalkeeper trow the ball further.

Yeah I figure that out after I made the post, you loose some seconds but I can live with that. But in the other ones Im afraid Im righ

Something I dont like. The defenders back off and back off and there is acres of space between them and the midfield when the CPU is attacking on the break. PES seems to have the space more correct, but the defenders and midfielders not in your control start to evacuate the middle of the field when the CPU attacks down the middle, or evacuate the wings at wing attacks despite what you do in the management screens in PES. Wish there was a way of editing how your team reacts in certain situations, like one football management sim from years ago where the field was broken into about 18 sqaures and you could edit where each player should be if you have the ball or if the opponent had the ball.
We do need more team management options like in PES but to work better, but I still really like this demo at the moment.

^^Fifa Manager 06 has that

Just played a game of PES5 with Superpactch 4, and then a game of 07, and I have to say that PES is still the best. I will still be buying 07 though, as the gameplay is good enough to warrant getting it for a good manage mode. :)

c) There is no team mates immersion into the plays, for example Im sick and tired to give a ball and see that the player dosent run to get it, I mean players should look for the ball, not wait for the ball to get where they are. Thats a basic of football. If you go where the ball is you win the position.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

wrong
when u pass don't wait for the ball to come to u,
u should run in the same direction to win the possision, same goes with the lobs & crosses,
which is realistic, no more lazy gameplay like in older fifa vesions, & that is a good improvment in fifa07.

(when u play football in real life in u don't wait for the ball to come to u, u just have to run towards the ball, obviesly not all the time depending on the situation u are in, if its no1 pressuring u, then u take it easy otherwise u have to keep fighting for the ball to win that extra space)

fifa always had problem with the players movments, to run in the open space,
but agen this year i think they did pretty good job in this department,
i just think u have to use 1-2 pass (which is L1+x in ps2) more often, which it works wery well, don't forget they also have to keep the balance of the game, otherwise the goal scoring will be crazy.

ather then that i agree with u :hump:
+ GK in 1 on 1 situations don't resspond very well, they to slow even when u press ^ on ps2 controller, they still move like a zombie, + GK have to come out of the box more often to clear long balls.
in we/pes series that is good example how it works.

HUBE ASTARD,

I am 33 and have played a ton of football. Won a state championship in college here and played in my country. Still play, coach kids, etc, etc. I fyou wanna wager, well then be my guest. Anyways, don't take it too personal. Perhaps we should take apoll and let everyone else decide which game is CLOSEST to real football!
I am very confident tthe answwer will be PES/WE

I'm 42 and still play twice a week so I'm sure I win. OK?
I think your missing my point. I'm saying it doesnt matter what your opinion is, or if anyone votes and the vote conclusively agrees with you. People have a right to choose their lifestyles and say ' I'm going to stop playing PES and play FIFA2007', if they like. That is what I will do and continue to do thank you. I finished on this. Either you get the point or you dont, but I dont need to discuss it anymore.

So do you guys think that fifa is good enough to buy. I haven't even played the demo.

Not for me after playing the demo about 10 hours. At the beginning it was a good game but after playing a fews hours it's still that unrealistic gameplay from EA.

I certainly think it is, but as you can see Zeus thinks it isnt. Why dont you try the demo and make up your own mind, you might agree with Zeus and theres nothing wrong with that, or you may think it is and theres nothing wrong with that either but then your making up your own mind from your own experience.

i play football my self semi-pro
and i have to agree with u OVNY
that when i play we/pes sometimes it feels that i got total control over the ball & the player in the game, thats why they call it, football simulation game, to give gamers that sens of feeling.
still we/pes as a football game are far from being preefect, so if u want 100% real football, then play in real football with your team

Hi, i played the demo a few hours ago.

The good and bad things in my opinion so far:

1. The graphics: better than "fifa 2006" and "2006 fifa world cup".
I have an ATI 128 mb, and in the past fifa's i had to put the graphics in "low";
while in this demo the graphics is in default: 1024---and seems to be in "high"; and is running great.
The graphics runs a lot more smoother.

2. How the player moves:
The way you controlled the player in "2006 fifa world cup" and "uefa champions league 2004/2005" was excelent;
but this one moves too slow. that is something that must be fixed.

--------------------
So, it is good to see that the developers are putting effort in the visual side of the game; but it's sad to see that they have done better things in the past in the gameplay department, and now they didn't improve. In the gameplay, instead of going forward, they are decreasing their level. So i hope that it will be fixed.

Say man, no need to stop playing PES. Play both! :)

Thats what I ment, you have to go towards the ball to get the position and not just wait for the ball to come to you, sorry if I wasnt clear enough.

About the open spaces, its not a problem of using 1-2 pases. Imagine that you run to the goal from the left side and you make a crossed shoot, in most of the cases the GK will reject the ball either to the right or the center of the goal zone, THE PROBLEM IS that there is no body there to kick the freaking rebound. WHY? because there is no team mate following the play.

Hube, I'm 89 yrs old and won 30,762 cups and stuff...I beat you!

Like I said, there's a game out there for everyone. My only point was that PES/WE is more realistic than FIFA. And I'll go out on alimb to say that most people agree. No doubt. I never said that it is real football. Of course, the only real football is real football...so I don't know where you got the idea that I said it was real football. Anyhoot, enjoy the new Fifa. I for one am hoping it's really good, especially the 360 version. Peace!

i have been playing the demo for a while now, and i am not happy with the players movments; if the full version of the game it's like this, the costumers are not going to play the game for too long, cause it they will get bored.

Personally, i am going to give a shot Pro Evolution Soccer 6, because i have never played it, and i want to give it a try, and almost every friend who plays soccer games always tell me that i should play it-- that it's way more better than fifa; and i have been waiting for many years for "ea sports" to make better their fifa games, but i never see a really honest and true change.
