online/offline rosters

Is there any way in CC to save an altered roster and keep the default roster for the sake of online play? kind of like the game does it when rosters are altered ingame. The game trys to use my altered rosters online which makes it disconnect.

ALSO, is there a way to alter the game without forsaking personal settings and accomplishments (unlocked features, points, cups, etc) except for tournaments and careers?

Well i spent hours trying to work this one out ad this is the solution i found. make a copy of the original database and save it to an insigniffiacnt destination e.g the desktop. Keep this as a back up file. Now use the CC to edit the original DB in your Fifa 2005 programs file. Now use this database when playing your career, tournament etc. When you want to play online, simply swap the databases.

Well, I copied the data file that was customized and did a clean install of the game. Everything works fine, as far as resetting the rosters, but my games are still disconnecting before the game starts. Why is it kicking me off?

Also, are there particular files attributed to rosters that can be copied in lieu of copying the entire data file (lots of space used? I would like to use my graphical alterations online without having to reinstall them.

You cannot play with a made up team on the internet. However i made an arsenal shirt for next season and it owrks fine.

I don't mean customized rosters, just graphics. I have so many customized graphics (kits, balls, nets that worked online before customizing my rosters) it would take me a while to reinstall them to work with the default rosters. When I try to go online Im not using the custom data file though, I use the clean data file (no changes at all). But I still get disconnected.

Ill try to do a clean install again and see if that works this time.

IT WORKS!!! AND THE GRAPHICS REMAIN!!!

Basically, I did what Shevagol said to do but I was able to keep my graphics by altering the method just a little bit. Follow the steps (this is what I did):

1) customize current database using CC.

2) make a folder on your desktop named "FIFA data" (or something youll recognize).

3) to make things easier, create two files inside of the "FIFA data" file and name one "CUSTOM" and the other "DEFAULT".

4) Now copy the customized data folder (the whole thing) from FIFA 2005 into the "CUSTOM" folder. Then copy the "FIFA 2005" folder in your "my documents" folder to the same folder.

5) Now uninstall and do a clean install of the game

6) Play one game (to establish a settings file).

7) (Now it gets tricky, read VERY carefully) Copy all of the files in your customized data folder into the clean data folder EXCEPT for the folders. DO NOT mess with the folders (i.e. "audio", "cmn", "gui", "EASO", "memcard", "system").

8) To play the game w/ the custom rosters, put the clean data foler and the new "FIFA 2005" folder (in "my documents") into the "DEFAULT" folder and swap them for the files in the "CUSTOM" folder.
To play w/ the default roster for online play, just do the reverse of step 8.

NOTE: be careful not to copy over one database for the other unless it is backed up in the "FIFA files" folder

Thats it. Now you can play online and use CC at your lesiure (so long as you don't use it while the default roster is in use) and ALL of your graphical alterations will be presurved in both databases.
