One Player Mode Ideas

Dear Jon

What really gets me going, apart from my wife of course.. is playing a season of NHL by EA SHI. Sports. I enjoty playing a season where I get injuires, other teams wanting to buy my players, my players going on hot streaks, cold streaks. I'm sure this could be implemented into a game. Crowds going down when I lose matches on the trot. However I still have to say gameplay is the most VITAL thing in any game of football. Your game is the closest we have to iss2. Come on lads make that patch the funky dogs bolloc.s!!

Peace love and good work!

If you mean to control one player only of the team. i think that its a very good idea.

Cool. A career/story mode maybe? For the one player. :)

I started as a student, picked and play for my school team, then Sir Alex Ferguson saw me play during one of the school matches and asked me to play for united youth team. Then the story goes on.... I'm dreaming.

I love the idea of being only a player in the field... than putting a player cam like in Libero Grande to make the game harder :)

This one player controlled mode seems like a good idea, but I think to succeed, the control has to be done REALLY well. I mean, we only control 1 player, so that player movement should be really good. Skill moves, handling the ball, passing, shooting, has to be top notch, and as real as possible. Now then we have a really sim soccer game :)

One Player Mode Ideas

I've suggested a GT type mode in a previous topic - what ONE PLAYER game mode would really tickle your fancy??

Yes... if the game uses basically the same engine, it's somewhat useless... More accurate options and controls are required :)

The one player mode\option worked very well in the Classic Player Manager 'Amiga' game, quite a few years ago, the beauty of that one was that if you started to gallop around the park you ended up paying for the mistake, if you played as a, say central defender that is what your job was, drift out of position and you were soon picking the ball out of the net, play in the midfield and you had more scope, play as a striker and it was a free for all .. and going along with the other suggestions in this thread i don't really think anyone would complain about that xtra being added to this terrific game .. Ned :)

I think it's a great idea. Some of us suck as real-life players, and this is a chance to make amends! I have Libero Grande for the PS, and although flawed in some areas, it can be very exciting. I would love to put myself in a Liverpool 1980's side and see if they'd get relegated! Of course some gameplay issues would have to be adressed, but I trust the patch will take care of most of that.

Cheers,

King Kenny.
