didn't realise so few teams competed in the Olympics... I thought it was just the British teams that didn't in the past.

Have teams like Germany, not qualified or just not entered?

Not qualified. Only 16 teams qualify. And Oceania gets an automatic spot, as does the host nation.

I was really looking forward to the GB team until I heard all players in Euro 12 were ineligible :(

Not to mention there is actually a lot of promising youngsters as opposed to pretty much every other generation Mexico has had.
Oh yes! I made a list of players who will very likely be on this team.

1 Gk G. Ochoa (Ajaccio)
2 Gk L. Sanchez (Queretaro)
3 CB H. Moreno (Espanyol)
4 CB H. Mier (Monterrey)
5 CB D. Reyes (America)
6 CB H. Rodriguez (Atlas)
7 RB I. Jimenez (Tigres)
8 LB M. Ponce (Guadalajara)
9 CM J. Enriquez (Guadalajara)
10 CM H. Herrera (Pachuca)
11 RM J. Cortez (Pumas)
12 CM J. Dos Santos (Barcelona)
13 CAM J. Aquino (Cruz Azul)
14 CAM M. Fabian (Guadalajara)
15 ST A. Pulido (Tigres)
16 ST C. Vela (R. Sociedad)
17 ST G. Dos Santos (Tottenham)
18 ST J. Hernandez (Manchester U.)

Others to consider: J.B. Corona (Tijuana), U. Davila (Vitesse A.), C. Orrantia (Pumas), E. Rivera (S. Braga), T. Guarch (Espanyol B), N. Araujo (Cruz Azul)...

We should seriously consider calling up J.B. Corona again, it's really his choice if we wants to play for Mexico or the USA.

- Ochoa, Moreno, and Chicharito are the ones over the age limit that will integrate this Olympic NT.

Nevermind Chicharito being on the team, Manchester United said no because they need him to start the preseason as fresh as possible, he obviously didn't have a good 2nd season.

Toulon Hopefuls' Tournament has began and Mexico is playing Morocco right now.

Oh sh!t, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL by Mexico...it's an OG.

Mexico 1-0 Morocco in the 8th minute

Mexico 4 - 3 Morocco FT

The starting line-up for Mexico:

----------------L.Sanchez
-------J.Henriquez--------N.Araujo
-N.Vidrio--------------------------D.Reyes
----------H.Herrera---J.Hernandez
-J.Aquino-------------------------M.Ponce
-----------------M.Fabian
------------------A.Pulido

Vidrio (CB) Henriquez (CDM) and Reyes (CB) were playing out of position thanks to L.F. Tena's brillian tactics and his wishes to experiment. Our coach is such an imbecil.

Marco Fabian BALLED it up in this match, I bet he's got scouts watching his every move.

It was actually a three man back line, which is why it looked so exposed. Thankfully Marco Fabian put the team on his back.

Liborio Sanchez was ******* terrible, too. Ochoa or Corona are a must for the Olympics.

Fnck it, blame Tena for confusing me.

Ochoa. Definitely Ochoa for the Olympics, it would be a great stage for him to make a jump from Ajaccio to a bigger team.

Hope you don't mean Joe Corona (H)

No PENDEJO. (H)

He'd be an interesting call-up, but he's not a priority or someone who projects to be a starter on the senior NT. I just don't want to see a bunch a Mexican-American kids representing the US because Mexico desistimated them due to our defective scouting in the states, that's all.

GB 1 - 1 Senegal

******* hell those Sengalese play dirty.

Not a great start. Should have gone 2-0 up with the most blatant penalty I have seen in years turned down, but still disappointing. Poor cohesion, little goal threat. Need to start Sinclair I think. Bertrand looked good though, and Butland will be giving Hart a run for his money in years to come...

I didn't watch the Mexico - South Korea game but given their recent form, the scoreless draw against a weaker team and the fact that Gio didn't start, my expectations have dropped dramatically.

On the bright side Switzerland tied, too, so there's that...

FM has led me to believe that Mexico has a godly generation of young superstars just waiting to emerge at any moment....... but then again FM has been know to lead me astray in the past......

Mexico has talent, but they're having moderate success in spite of the coach. That's gonna eventually backfire. In fact, this is probably the prime spot for it to backfire. He's terrible.

If you don't load the Mexican league it becomes ridiculous with the Mexican regens. I started a thread about it on an FM forum.

He actually did wonders for such a ****ty pool of players Mexico had at the time. One of his only **** ups was snubbing the then best player in Mexico. I mean checking the names that went toe to toe with Argentina in the round of 16 in the World Cup is astonishing in retrospect.

I meant to say, the best offensive player Mexico had.

Edit: Wow Donovan looks so different without that huge forehead and the receding hairline.

I just enjoyed watching him chain smoke on the touch line in front of a TV audience of half a billion :(
