Kara Lang is so sexy.

And I'm glad USA Women got it handed to them by Norway.

Yea, Kara could do some terrible things to me. Hope Solo too, but she'd probably flap at it and miss.

I just asked. We don't have a team in the olympic so, just on the woman side. But I see it's for men;) so, we can chat about them. My team in this olympic is Argentina, because of our player Sergio Agüero.

By the way, can Atlético Madrid bring him home before the Champions League qualifier? Anyone knows?

It's ridicilous that Atlético Madrid maybe loses Champions League because of this Olympic.

Well, if it would've been clear that the clubs weren't forced to release U23 players...:munch:

Agüero played so-so against Ivory Coast anyway.

I reckon it should be an honour to represent your country at the Olympics, and you should play. It really is once in a life time.

has anyone knows what's with adidas kits for the olympics? aren't they allow to have the traditional stripes? i notices neither argentina nor australia or belgium had them

and btw, australia and belgium have gone to adidas or is it just for the olympics?

and what about ivory coast's crest?

I haven't seen that, but I wouldn't be shocked if Nike cut a deal.

Ronaldinho is playing great. The tricks, the flicks, the passes. He seems to have fun, and clearly, he's still got it. (Y) The whole Brazil's squad is playing real entertaining football. Fun to watch.

Freddy Adu is atrocious. I've seen him make one pass (and that was probably a really bad shot) and lose the ball a stupid amount of times in this first half.

Bring on Jozy I say.

Oh, and Hope Solo + Heather Mitts = Oh. My. God.

I actualized the first post again, you have some wrong results ( ItalyxKorea ; SerbiaxCoted'Ivore )

Goals:

The first goal of Cote d'Ivore, was really well made.

It never feels good to give up a tying goal in the final minute of play, especially when you've played well enough to win. (And especially when the goal resulted from a non-existant free kick.) Holden had a glorious chance to put this game out of reach for the Dutch. All he had to do was play the ball across for Kljestan; instead he shot - poorly.

But in all fairness, the Dutch could have easily gone up 2-0 early in the second half, so in that light 2-2 is not a bad score. And since the US-Japan game could have gone either way, I can't say that we've been unlucky so far.

Now we need a tie against Nigeria to ensure we advance, and a win to ensure we don't play Argentina in the quarterfinals. The only problem is both Adu and Bradley are out due to yellow card accumulation. I'm guessing Nowak will insert Altidore and Ianni into the starting line-up, moving Edu up into the midfield. Alternatively, he could start Feilhaber alongside Kljestan in the middle, but I doubt he's going to make that gamble. I'm not particularly comfortable with either scenario.
