Glitch: Ghost movement:
When you have won a game and a player sent off from the team you are controlling, you will see the ball move and go into a goal by itself.
Glitch: Missing replays:
When a goal is scored, sometimes the replay will show your own goal and the goalkeeper standing there, doing nothing, while the camera moves around.

Congratulations for the great thread, I have learned a lot.
I would like to shoot 3 questions that have not seen solved in the board:
1. Is it possible in Fifa 2004 to make a lob devolution like this:
- You lob the ball to a player in the oposite extreme of the field (from right side to left side of the field for example) and without stoping the ball with the chest or something else just lob at once the ball again. This was possible in other Fifas but I don't seem to do it in this one, I have tried a lot in prectice mode but the plaers only stop the ball and then lob it (with this move you could do the 21 in Fifa 2003 for example lobing the ball from one player to another and this one returning it woth a lob and this one lobing it again, etx, without stoping it.
2. Make the same as above but with the head. I can header in the scoring area (with the shooting button) but have not found how to head in other parts of the field (like for example obing the ball to a defender and this one recieving the pass with a header towards another player.
If you can do this I really apreciate your posting. Thanks a lot.

Hitting "X" (on ps2, or the pass button) will ahve you head the ball, as long as you do it last, before the defender.
Also, a slightly more aggressive header, hold the Modifier Button and press Circle (or shoot). Although sometimes, if the player is alone, he'll boot it low up the field!

I was really good at FIFA 2003, but really it was all about learning to use the Right stick for the skill moves. Once that was mastered the game was easy (and boring).
I like FIFA 2004 because they got rid of that. But now, I am having a tough time scoring on Semi-Pro!! Of course, I think it is more realistic because real soccer games are low scoring.
One thing I have found is that the formation used by Manchester United is great for scoring goals. You always have 4 or 5 players attacking, and if you pass around very quickly, you will eventually find the open man and can get a good shot off. This is especially true if you bring it up the wing and then pass to the center. I once in a while use the OTB control, but not that often.
Real Madrid uses a similar formation, but I changed it to be exactly like ManU, and then put the best players in the proper position (like moving Zidane up to the attacking wing) and was able to finally score some goals.
I suck at corners and free kicks. Any advice on how to score with those??? Thanks.

I can turn the damn right analog stick any which way, while holding the R2 button, and NOTHING !!!
I may do the occasional stepover, but my player does NOT move forward. The computer will then have the defender take the ball, nice and easy !!!!
And when I receive the ball in front of the net, just outside the penalty area, I cant get by the last defender. Even if I hit the L1 (run) button to blow past the last defender, its ALWAYS taken away from me

I have almost mastered fifa 2004, and its hard work getting there. I've discovered that Rivaldo, Ronaldihno and Zidane are the best for doing tricks, so try these players when practicing. Hold R2 (for walk mode) and spin the right analogue stick around to do a feint. Do the same but wiggle the right analogue stick either side to side or up and down for step overs.
Free Kicks - the easiest way to score a free kick is to put back spin on the ball by moving the right anologue stick down, let the power bar go up to just past half way, more if the player is a good free-kick taker. You must have the cursor in the green pattern, and then watch the ball fly into the net. Good free-kick takers are :
Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham, Rivaldo, Del Peiro, Davids. There are many more, as long as the shot power and accuracy atrributes are relatively high, they should be a good free-kick taker.
