I am not saying that the teams with Ronaldo or Messi are bad. They are good and I think the winners in 2011, 2012 and 2013 deserve it. However, these teams have an unfair advantage because Ronaldo and Messi are way better than whoever is the 3rd best player in the world and they make a huge difference in the voting stage. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix this. Whoever gets to select one of them has won a lottery.

I don't think Messi/Ronaldo was a huge deciding factor, I don't remember 2011 draft but Yoyo/Andrei made pretty good team beside those players.

Horatiu had Cambiasso, Arteta and Lampard as midfielders, way below average in the competition but his attack won it for him, deservedly also. He had Pedro, Tevez and Ronaldo up front.
