For those who cannot patch from the web site, have you disabled the firewall before patching? Also, you should restart the computer and then patch again.

Here's my experience:
1. I patch the game from the start menu "check for patch"
2. I choose "europe"
3. After the patch, i cannot notice any new readme file 1_1 something like that.
4. I restart the computer and then patch again.
5. This time there are the new readme files. Patch successfully.

But what language patch do i need. I have the Dutch version of Fifa 2004 but the dutch patch is nowhere to find!

http://en.fifasoccer.ru/ works only for the english version, but it REALLY works and it has just 3.5 MB

sorry to interject in the converse; when I go to d/l the patch I get to the 'check for patch' icon on the web page and then click it then nothing hapens. What am I supposed to do?

get the deviance patch, ea web update is crap...
