There is nothing wrong with Kroos. Van Gaal is an idiot, Barca are run by morons, and Bayern insulted him with their offer, so he wouldn't negotiate anymore. The fucking dipshits running Bayern didn't think he had the "fighting spirit" because he's not out there jumping around and screaming. This NEVER would have happened with Uli Hoeness running the club.

Cruyff loves him.

I'm quite annoyed he's destined to go to Real Madrid due to Barca's incompetence.

Good thing there's Rafinha and Sergi Roberto, although watch them leave on a triggered clause.

That:,'s a shame. I think he could guide Germany to another victory in 2016 but you can't fault him for quitting while he's ahead. Hopefully tbis will open up.room for Jung rather than that Mustafa dude or Howedes on the right.

Well he's 30 already. He's been playing for a while, so maybe he knows when to quit. Although I'm sure they'll miss him for Euro 16.

Wish certain Mexican players did that...

You could have used Cuatemoch Blanco out there.

And it is odd to see him quit when he could still be essential to Euro16.

Atypical move by Lahm, but I respect it. The players really don't get much out of the international game. Plus, this will extend his career with Bayern; I expect him to hang on as long as Lizerazu.

The Von Trapps
hah, Lizarazu, the Basque Frenchie ... Bayern had a collection of French defenders had at one time: him, Willy Sagnol, Valerien Ismaël ... were there any others?

Don't think so, but Lizerazu and Sagnol were both amazing. I actually think Willy retired too early, but the genius manager (Klinsmann, as it were, too busy trying to sell Muller and Hummels to properly evaluate talent) forced him into retirement. Ismael was a joke when we signed him. In fact, if you search back in the SG archives you'll find a young Shifty*my lamenting that we gave Hamburg a huge cash injection to buy Kompany when we should have just bought him ourselves.

Dunno if this is true or not but I read that Toni Kroos is the first person born in East Germany to win a world cup and will probably be the last
