I am back from a great soccer weekend in Toronto!!! The Mexico-Gambia game today was amazing!!! It was the best game I've watched in a while! The first half was total end to end action, and the Gambians were very entertaining. But too bad they were so inexperienced compared to a big side like Mexico, they came out so hard in the first half that it seemed as if they had no gas in the tank in the 2nd. And that class of a touch from Giovanni, damn.

Portugal vs New Zealand was an alright game too. Well, since Portugal is always such an entertaining team. Coentrao is an awesome winger, lots of flair and also very effective, just like Chile's #18, Vidangossi. And Pele was absolutely influential in the midfield! He really stamped his authority there with his fantastic control and distribution. Also, props to me with my great instinct -- I took a video of the freekick that Portugal ended up scoring, hah. (H)

The Canada game was simply too one-sided. :p Chile was running all over us. One shot from 25 yards was all we could muster... our passing was terrible and Chile was just an entire class above. Nobody could even get the ball off of Vidangossi. New Zealand definitely played better than Canada did.

Thanks for the pictures, it looks like it was a great match on the stands aswell!

I'm just so excited for this Mexican team. So much potential!

For the Chivas players, they all looked solid. All the playtime they have had at Chivas has really kept them there on the same level as the two european players.

"Pato" Araujo, El capitan, is truly improving faster then I thought possible. This kid may be the future Marquez, or even better, at the rate he's going. He will problably take a position on the Chivas defensive line as soon as gets back. If I were Maza, I'd be shaking right now, with Magallon and Araujo coming up so fast.. :D

Esparza has his position secured on that left side now that we sold Martinez.

Dos Santos!, what can I say that hasn't already be said. A-Fracking-mazing!
Too bad he won't get any playtime with Barca next season, even if his turn is already long overdue. Teams in europe should begin to refill their bank accounts, he's one player to have, and keep.

Vela, believe me, he's the future Mexican number 11.

Can't wait for today's game against USA. If we win, we will go through to the knock-out round. I hope, they forgot about Brazil and now they think only about this game.

GO POLAND!!!
