No one qualifies for the international competition in the 2nd season

Hi! I need to know if someone can help me because I created a Concacaf CC with a few additional teams. Everything works correctly, but we don't qualify for the second season. In other words, at the beginning of the game, all the teams play, and there is a champion, but in the second year, when I check the "matches" or "tables" section, the previous tournament still appears. The only way for new teams to qualify is if I get fired or change clubs.
So, I wanted to know where I might have gone wrong, either in the DLC or elsewhere.

Possible solution:
Change the schedule of the Mexican league to align it with the MLS (January-December). It worked for me.
