No Fifa09 for PC?

EA stated that there won't be a Madden09 on the PC!

"Moore goes on to say that Madden isn't the only PC effort being scrapped, but lines the whole thing with a bit of spun silver, writing that "We do have ideas for how to revitalize the PC for sports games and the types of games that are best suited to the platform, and we'll continue to explore those."

The main reasons not to release Madden on the PC will probably be the facts that Madden is mainly handled with the analog stick and that the engine made for the next-gen consoles is not suitable for the PC.

Fifa has the exact same problems so it woudn't surprise me at all if EA would skip Fifa09 for the PC and come with a new Fifa PC experience with Fifa10.

Fifa is EAs biggest game. I'm bummed about Madden 09 not being made, but my friends over at football-freaks are going to mod 08 into 09.

Fifa 09 on PC should be made, but there's enough talent around here to keep us going if it doesn't get made.

But FIFA will be on PC, I'm very optimistic.
The guys at EA were already talking about FIFA 09 on PC and in contrast to madden many of the fifa players play on PC.

That's kinda strange... PC users again %^&$ed up... I just cant seem to understand it. Yes, it's a lot harder to crack the games for xbox and ps3, but many PC users are buying them...

According to EA employees it isn't cleared yet, which gen FIFA 09 will get. The game isn't even annouced yet. I wouldn't be too sure about the next-gen in next FIFA, we all know EA...

Well, Madden is american football - it's only played in the USA and most football fans do not seem like the type of people who would play pc games. If you ever been to a football game, you will know what i mean. They just want to pop in the game and play it on their x-box.

Fifa on the other hand is a game that is played all over the world - probably one of EAs best selling games and so they should be releasing it on the PC to make it accessible to as many people as posible.

I did buy madden 08 for PC but to be honest, it's getting old. The same teams, the same competition year in and year out. Not much has changed in that game over the years. How many times can you play in the NFL????

At least with Fifa you get tons of leagues, different championships and competitions and the manager mode is great and addictive.

It's too bad that Madden won't be on PC anymore but you can't blame EA. Instead, blame the market and football fans who would rather play in their consoles rather than learning how to use a pc.

my inside sources have told me that fifa 09 will be next-gen for PC, that must mean that it actually WILL be released for PC. that's what i believe, i dont give a crap about NFL , NBA or IRON MAIDEN 09, but i cant believe anything else than fifa 09 for PC will be released.

Actually even the current gen FIFA 08 is better than the "next-gen" PES. I dont think EA are bothered by that.

yeah i strongly agree with Ultra_Blue... especially the new ai for euro2008 is really awesome. that's why MonkeyDragon wanted to make that champions league patch for the game but wish that we are going to have new graphic for such best ai too
