NK FOOTBALL © FIFA™ World Evolution 2 confirmed.

I can confirm that this is the next update that will be out in the coming week. As previously said I will be away soon for a few months and the update will stop. But this doesn't mean progress hasn't been made already.

The latest effort will feature the same shot mechanics to choose from only with a twist. I guarantee you will all enjoy the default mechanic, as it is both accurate and diverse. However, you'll have many different mechanics to choose from, some for fun, some for realism and some for pure crazy challenge (unrealistic, surreal).

The CPU is been re-vamped again. A lot of you guys play fast football. So the CPU will play faster now to feel more natural like a human, rather than machine. The speed in which they defend and attack is quicker and harder to predict. They don't push forward to defend as much meaning they have a solid back-line to keep you from getting 1v1 with the keeper and goalkeepers are much harder to beat. So the shooting system been more accurate won't mean more goals...well, for you anyway. The CPU attack is more critical, as my 6-0 loss today proved against Brazil playing as England. At one point, it was my keeper parrying and knocking the ball out as much as he could, but after 25+ shots, 6 had to make it into the net, although they had some close calls, no shots were dreadfully wide or inaccurate. This is the main request from World Evolution feedback, so World Evolution 2 will have this issue removed. And don't worry, those who 'may' find the new shooting too challenging can select to go 'back' to a World Evolution 1 shot mechanic and enjoy that with the new CPU. So technically it's backwards compatible! If you can call it that.

Why would i try to knock your gameplay, that would be really sad, im not about that at all, i believe we should all work together for the good of fifa, thats why i wanted to make an team rather than all work sperately. If i say my patch is better its just my opinion, i didnt say your gameplay was bad, is very good, thing is its not really that hard to play with thats all.

the cpu is too relentless and seems to constatly attack and press, all you need is quick passing to get round it. i feel your patches are more about making the game harder rather than realistic.

Yes you have released a patch fixing this i still feel the title (skilful) is very misleading, you should have just said its very hard to shoot

also every one of those 6 games seemed the same.

I dont see you as an rival at all, i just want to maximise fifa. Just look at the pes superpatch, it has so much from forums and patchmakers around the world, but over here we have cep and fifa 4 fans which spends more time moaning and trying to sue people over their works rather than patching

why have all these little patches when we should all work together creating one huge superpatch to put everything in, also there would be a lot less crashing

Great work again NK. I downloaded the mod Friday night and played probably 15 games over the weekend. BTW, I ply on World Class and 6 minutes. I'd like to play 8 minutes for the sake of getting more fouls but the shots for the CPU would be out of control. More on that later. Most of my games went to extra time or were 1-0 games.

Unlike a lot of people I think the shooting (default. Not learner) is pretty good. I was able to score a couple of goals with blast from the top of the box. Because of the difficulty of the shooting mechanic, the goals seem more rewarding. I would like to see a slight tweak in future editions but not as easy as learner.

From a CPU defensive standpoint I think you've just about nailed it, although it seemes like there is a lot of room at midfield for dribbling. Because there is space at midfield there seems to be much less at the back line which is great! In the next edition maybe have the midfielders press a little more.

I like your idea of keeping a strong back line in the game but this just points out a flaw in AI strategy standpoint that all teams play the same way. This is a shortcoming of the game itself. Not all teams play all the way back. Some play the OT, some play in between, and some play back. In FIFA it seems that ALL teams play the same strategy and don't adjust. At least I haven't noticed it.

Also from a defensive standpoint, I LOVE the fact the defenders, both user and CPU, do not just run straight at the attacking player with the ball. In real soccer defenders cut off angles for shots and passes. I've seen videos for those so called "fast players" and the game that your playing is just not real. It looks like a pinball game. This is the type of game that needs to be played with defenders that run straight at attackers. Pinball is not lifelike IMO. Watch any game from any league in the world. The space between defenders and attackers is just about right although I'd like to see a little more presure in the midfield area.

I also love the speed of the game. The pace just "feels" right. There have been way too many gameplay mods where the "pinball" game is needed to succeed and the game itself looks more like a fastbreak basketball game than a soccer game.

For the next mod I'd like to see the shooting mechanic be just slightly more accurate but not as accurate as the "Learner" shooting mechanic. That one is too easy.

One area of the game that I'm struggling with is the shooting of the CPU. Not so much the mechanic itself but the number of shots that they get per game. My suggestion would be to tone down any variable that has to do with how fast the CPU gets off a shot. While I'm not giving up many goals, I am giving up 20+ shots per game while playing good defense. It seems that the time it takes for the CPU to release a shot is way too fast. The headers and the shots from outside the box are lightning fast while on my shots you can see the player lining up to kick the ball which does take time. Bottom line is the CPU time to release for shooting needs to be tweaked.

Additionally, I like to see the the ball bounce higher than it actually does when playing in dry conditions. One of the hardest things to do as a soccer player is to get control of a ball that bounces over your head. If you watch real soccer this happens alot.

Look at this video from a West Ham/Middlesborough game and you'll see what I'm talkng about. Alot of the passes bounce to the shoulders of the players making it harder to control.

It happens on longer passes and goal kicks for the most part. The high and the lofted passes need to bounce higher (alot of times above the players heads) off the pitch than a low pass or a line drive pass. I think that this minor tweak in physics will add alot more realism to the game than people think. I hope explained this properly.

Yes, I am glad you agree with Carlos*bauer, he is actually spot on. I did intend on making the ball bounce more realistic, but in terms of the area's of play, he got it right. As of right now, I can confirm the bounce in dry games is how he wanted it. When the ball hit the ground from a good height, it'll bounce high in the air and it's more difficult and slows the play down slightly as your player has to try and control it/trap it and still keep control of the ball. Either that or header it.

Shooting is also fixed. challenging, but easier. The cpu put many more goals past me, MANY more!

The cpu don't shoot from far-out all the time now, they will work to get closer to tap it in or hit a nice low shot. Before, if the player had space to run and was clear, he'd probably shoot. whereas now, he's compose and take the ball closer to the goal and then make the shot easier. So the cpu is certainly smarter.

The preview has been held back as Tizmo is very busy.

I'll be releasing footage and information very soon, as the preview build Tizmo was sent was very early. Since then the gameplay has changed, especially the ball physics. The shooting is also changing around and they'll be more information on this very soon. You guys won't be dissapointed.

It's playing better. The cpu is scoring more goals and I am finding it harder to score, but not because of the shot mechanic, but because the cpu defence is tighter yet again.
