+ Nintendo DS Lite +

I'm surprised at the popularity of the pink one outside of Japan tbh. Around here we just have white, pink, and black. There seems to be a couple shades of blue available elsewhere though..

It's because they were only released in an extremely limited edition in the UK and all the chavs are desperate to get them as presents for their skanky girlfriends.

I've got a regular oldschool ds. A ds lite looks really tempting but there doesn't seem to be a huge difference to convince me to get one. The look and size doesn't bother me that much.
I've been playing animal crossing for about a year now and it really is a very addictive game. Sure the graphics look very childish but its not just for kids. The most fascinating thing about it is the way the game operates in real time. So if I decide to play at 3am, it will be 3am in the game and all the animals in the village will usually be asleep. And the local store for example is open from 8am-11pm. If I start playing the game at 11:02pm the shop will be closed and I have to come back the next morning if I want to buy anything. Also there's a dog called K.K. Slider that plays guitar in the cafe every saturday night from 8pm-12pm I think and he'll play songs and give you bootleg cd's to play on your cd player at home. If you dont play the game in the time that he's around you have to wait A WHOLE WEEK for him to appear again. You really need a bit of patience to progress in the game and you also need to kinda schedule your game playing aswell. Another cool thing is being able to play the stock market by buying turnips from joan on sunday and selling them to nook when turnip prices go up. You can make a ****load of cash playing the market.
I'm still waiting to buy a TV from nook but I havent seen one appear in the shop yet. The cool thing about the TV is that there is actually different shows scheduled at different times of the day and week. Like there's soap operas, a weather show which actually tells you the weather for the town for the next day. I visited someones town over wi-fi and there was a soccer match on his tv. Another cool thing about wi-fi is when you go to someones town you go to their time zone aswell. Like I played one day and visited some guys town who lived in Texas so it was like 2am when I visited his town. You can also pick the fruit off peoples trees and bring it back to your town to grow. Like when I first played animal crossing my town only grew apples but now i'm growing palm trees, cherry trees, orange trees etc.
Occassionally when you connect over the internet Nintendo will actually send you brand new items for your house. I checked my mail box (in the game, not real life) and there was a letter from nintendo which had a bowling set to celebrate the release of Wii Sports. How cool is that.
Thats all I can really think of for now. It's seriously one of the best games i've ever played. I urge anyone with a ds to buy it because its so addictive.

You might want to have a look at one of these Mishkin.. I'm ordering one tonight, it looks positivly amazing. It's essentially a 512MB flash memory card that allows you to easily put NDS ROMS and homebrew applications, even MP3's on your DS. It's kinda expensive, but as soon as you put like 3 ROMS on it, it's pretty much paid for itself. Been getting great reviews too..

I was wondering if NDS ROMS would be hard to find, but after some brief looking around I can say that they're everywhere. I know of like 3 places now where you can download just about every DS game out there (including all Japanese games).

Thats awesome. I'll have to look into that. I bought my gf a GBA movie player which works on DS too and can play emulated games. It's a lot cheaper but the bad thing is it can only play NES emulations. It cant handle GBA or DS games.

Also about the animal crossing friend codes. This is a good site. You can request friend codes from people and it shows if they're online or not. I got stacks of friend codes off it.
