Night Sky Bug

I've stumbled across another ID in the database that works with day and night - 346. I did change the timeofday3 and timeofday4 with dbmaster from 5 to 3. Not sure if this is what did it. I've tried a few others without success but this suggests there are more in there.

Is there a rendering_patch.cdb involved with the various Switch editions? As they have had DLC Stadiums added haven't they. Could we extract this and use it with fifa16 do you think?

Thanks for sharing !

Just bringing back this discussion to live.
Fifa 18 for the Switch had the world cup 2018 dlc.

Maybe there can be found a folder an cdb files like this:
"data/attrib/renderdb_stad_%d.cdb"

The Fifa 16 executable has a direct refernce to such a file, instead of the rendering_patch.cdb.

No luck so far, attribdb.bin contains some info and also a list of the original fifa 16 Stadia (plus ID 174 and 177). But changing the file, makes the game crash.

And copying the rendering info to a .cdb changes nothing. But maybe am just not clever enough.

Anyone has the files of the Fifa 14 World Cup DLC for XBOX One or PS4?

As these plattforms use Ignite, maybe we can find a hint in how to add stadiums in Fifa 16 with full day and night working.

Fifa14 had a different static lighting system is memory serves:- day, dusk, night only and the rendering_patch for the DLC reflects that.

I think your best bet would be files from the Switch (17,18,19,20) as these 'Legacy' versions were using the Fifa16 version of the ignite engine weren't they? And they added new stadiums each year.
If the problem isn't actually hardcoded then the files from them games might provide the clue we need.

Hello friends.
I was many years away from FIFA 16. I would like to ask a question "that way I avoid having to open a thread". I remember there was a damn bug when we installed more stadiums. Clone an ID and apply directly from the CM. Everything worked fine in the day matches, but there was no night. Is there any news about this? Because this has always been one of the biggest puzzles since the release of FIFA 16.
The only way was to use Stadium Server. Only that there was a lot of incompatibility.

The night bug was never solved, to my knowledge. But, you don't actually have to use stadium server to avoid it. You can also just use Rev Mod.

I haven't used stadium server in a long time.

Can you tell us how do you it with Rev Mod? To my knowledge crowd and glare files where never possible with Rev Mod so only the model works. Do you have an other way?

I've never gotten glares to work with Rev Mod, but crowd files work perfectly.

You need a "crowdplacement" and "stadium" folder under data>sceneassets. The three model files all go in the stadium folder, and the two crowd files in crowdplacement:

The model and texture files go in the stadium folder, and crowds go in the crowdplacement folder:

I typically use stadium IDs 176 and 179 for the model files, but you can use most other generic stadium IDs and some of the licensed ones, as well.

Once the files are in, the only other thing you need to do is use CG File Explorer to find the stadium and crowd IDs you're overwriting (they're all under data_graphic1 and data_graphic1_extra), and use the "Check BH" function to have the files read from the folder instead of the BIG file.

You won't get the correct glares, but I still prefer this method to using stadium server.

Okay thanks for explaining but this method requires that you change the stadiums manually? Or that you replace all ingame stadiums? But at the end you don't have 1000+ stadiums or am I wrong?

It takes maybe one or two more clicks than stadium server does, but it's no big deal.

I keep all of my modded stadiums organized in a separate folder. When I want to use one, I just quickly copy the model and crowd files into the sceneassets folders, and I'm good to go.

Almost all of them use the same one or two stadium IDs. They're the generic EA stadium IDs I've designated myself for my modded stadiums. This is basically the exact same thing stadium server does behind the curtain, you just don't see it with the interface.

I can still have as many stadiums as I want, and use them whenever I want. I just copy and paste in the correct Rev Mod folder before I play. That's it.

Okay but with this method it shouldn't be a problem to use also the glare files. I used a similar method before stadium server and the glare files worked perfectly.

That could be. For some reason I've had issues with glares, but I've never spent a ton of time on it, since the glares aren't a big deal for me.

I don't understand the glare problem. You have the fx folder for this, if you put the glares in this folder with the correct id it works (at least for me).
