Traditionally other channels mail it in during the Super Bowl, tonight PBS and Showtime went with normal programming. Good call.

The funny thing is that manning has twice as much passing yards as Wilson does. That Seahawks defense is superb.

Manning 11-12 playoff record, 1-3 in Superbowls.

Even the biggest Manning fan has to admit those aren't the type of statistics you see from "One of the best ever". You can make excuses for Manning but there is a reason some Qb's win the majority of their playoff games and Superbowl appearances and some don't, thats what separates the very good from "The Best Ever".

There are 24 QB's that have played in 10 or more playoff games and have a better win % than Manning.

1 Tom Brady 26 18 8 .692
2 Joe Montana† 23 16 7 .696
3 Terry Bradshaw† 19 14 5 .737
4 John Elway† 21 14 7 .667
5 Brett Favre 24 13 11 .542
6 Troy Aikman† 15 11 4 .733
7 Roger Staubach† 17 11 6 .647
8 Peyton Manning 23 11 12 .478
9 Ben Roethlisberger 14 10 4 .714
10 Bart Starr† 10 9 1 .900
11 Kurt Warner 13 9 4 .692
12 Joe Flacco 13 9 4 .692
13 Donovan McNabb 16 9 7 .563 Eagles
14 Jim Kelly† 17 9 8 .529 Bills
15 Jim Plunkett 10 8 2 .800
16 Eli Manning 11 8 3 .727
17 Steve Young† 14 8 6 .571
18 Shifty Marino† 18 8 10 .444 Dolphins
19 Ken Stabler 12 7 5 .583
20 Johnny Unitas† 8 6 2 .750
21 Joe Theisman 8 6 2 .750
22 Phil Simms 10 6 4 .600
23 Bob Griese† 11 6 5 .545
24 Drew Brees 11 6 5 .545
25 Fran Tarkenton† 11 6 5 .545

How wasn't this at least a bit predicted? Everything I saw/read before was "omg this is so close I can't call it!".

Fuck him. Serves him well.

Last night couldn't have gone any better. I enjoyed the fuck out of this Super Bowl.

I didn't want Manning to win it for obvious reasons, but the way it played out was majestic. What a choke job and what a complete mauling he took at the hands of the Seahawks D. To his defense, I doubt the Pats would have won, but I'm sure they would have made it at least competitive. The real Super Bowl was two weeks ago... this was a glorified scrimmage.

Also Bruno Mars was decent but RHCP kicked ass. I was pleasantly surprised.

I downloaded to watch it, since Im in Japan and wasn't able to watch it live. The only plus to all this, was that I was able to fast forward and to the end. After the First quarter, I knew this was going to turn out a bad day for Denver.

That's a big deal, when people said they were waiting on an American athlete to come out they meant a football player.

I can't wait for the draft to happen already. I have a strange affinity for the NFL draft, I love watching it, seeing where all the different college stars end up, eagerly awaiting who my team will pick, trades, surprise picks...it just grabs my attention completely.

Greg Robinson from Auburn has overtaken Jake Matthews as the top OT. Sammy Watkins has been climbing the board as has Khalil Mack and apparently Manziel and Bortles are now the frontrunners for being the first QB's taken in the draft over much talked about as being the top prospect, Bridgewater.

2014 NFL Draft, May 8-10. Can't wait to see how it goes down.
