Oh and it's user V CPU ;)

so far if that's current gen graphics then wow! looking much better than 06. Gameplay looks far, far improved.

this video is still showing me same lame stuff...!!!!!!!!!! something is just very wrong about the game play... it's slower and all, but it seems exactly the same as the FIFA WC 2006 game play! I mean a player shoots the ball at a goal keeper, the goal keeper must understand that the ball is coming to him so he jumps up and towards the ball; this is basic scenario, basic logic; In the video the goal keeper decides to catch the ball exactly on the goal line!!! This type of lame mistakes are annoying, and they can change them at EA, but why aren't they improving them!?!?!?!? I mean seriously why???

As far as I can see that the ball physics are 10% fixed (Not any bit more, nothing new except the back spin which I didn't see any good use for it on passing, looping and clearing the ball); this led to slower game play, but the players animations and reactions are still the same! I mean extremely the same! I can clearly see some "magnetic" powers in the feet of the player receiving the ball! And the CPU still commits those unnecessary loops!!

The sound of the crowds is amazing, especially how they reacted to the goal. I totally felt it. But what the f**k is up with the lame whistle sound?!?!?!?!!?? it is even lamer than old FIFA versions... go listen to it again. OMG! lool, Can't they add at least 2 another versions of the whistle sound to give more in game real feeling?

Another video and this time a human against CPU and still same ugly stuff we talked about in the other threads. could this video be only a beta version and that they have better stuff later?? I doubt it; no more time. :nape:

Looks no different to me the goal scored by a header the player hardly jumps off the floor with the power they have with new consoles they should have revamped the whole game and it has the same old non generic players with the brylcream hairstyles come on this isnt next gen is it ???

Wanting some 360 news.

I can confirm this is the Xbox version.

Personally I can see improvements, more so in the physics of the ball. The way the ball is moving in the video footage is more so than I could do editing an ini file. It reacts differently and no one can punch numbers into an ini file and get those results, there is more going on now than in past FIFA's.

The gameplay does look similar to FIFA 06, this is why EA SPORTS are keeping the new next-gen game engine under-wraps as to show the improvements to current-gen. I believe a whole new game engine is what FIFA needs and 360 will get it. EA would be silly to show-off the new game engine, no one would want to buy current-gen FIFA 07. Sales would be lost, hence the Next-gen version will be released at a later date.

The 360 version is where all the improvements will be. FIFA 07 on current gen is clearly and obviously built upon the current engine. It has improved a lot, but it still looks similar and that will plague some gamers. I personally am willing to give it a try and will go by the term 'innocent til proven guilty'. It looks improved and everyone who has played it believes it to be fun to play. If you have fun playing it, then that will be great! FIFA 06 became too easy too quickly with predictable CPU play. As we've all read Joe Booth worked with his team on current-gen to wipe out the predictability of the CPU. If they achieve a much more variant CPU and tactics, then I am sure more than 1 player will be happy.

I don't think this game is looking bad or in desperate need of work, I think it is exactly what Current-Gen FIFA built upon the existing game engine is capable of. Either that or wait for the new 360 version, that of which I can't wait to see in action!

It looks very good! I agree 100% with you nick! I really see the change in the physics of the game. The ball somehow moves a lot more natural! The animations look very well and my overall impression is still very good about this game! But the demo will tell!

Ok, I've uploaded a video of me playing in FIFA WC 2006 (England vs. Spain) with my Game play update. watch it and tell me what difference do you see between it and the game play/ball physics in that video from FIFA 07???!!

Click on this link to view the video:

No update is going to make World Cup or FIFA 06 play like FIFA 07. Seriously, wait for the demo. I think many of you are already judging 'gamePLAY' from a video or two.

Gameplay updates take on a different design of gameplay variation from the original. You can't re-write ball physics, you can slow the ball down, change the bounce, curl, back-spin, etc. You can't make the game suddenly perform mathematical decisions to how the ball moves. FIFA 07 doesn't run on scripted physics, plenty of interviews and articles from magazines over here I've read explain this and the guys who have played it say it could beat PES. Saying FIFA 07 could beat PES, totally knocks 2006 FIFA World Cup into the darkness, because boy is that game crap. You can easily dominate the CPU and I doubt that will be the case in FIFA 07...I REALLY doubt it. And if you can then yeah, it's a failure...but I really do doubt it after what I've read and seen so far. The ball physics in FIFA 07 are nothing like in that video you displayed. All I can see is you have slowed the ball down more realistically. And credit to you for that, but it isn't FIFA 07.

I could never make an update that made the game play or look like those videos I’ve seen of FIFA 07. I’ll say it again, wait for the demo.

Ok NK, ease up a little... Lit me explain my point of view. you are my buddy in this forum, so I totally respect your opinions and great mind. :)

First of all, BALL PHYSICS DO IMPROVE GAME PLAY and how human or CPU react to certain situation. You don't want to believe it then try it. My slower ball has made the goal keepers and defenders even much harder and unpredictable; not to a very high level, but with more work and some help maybe from you it could be exactly what EA is talking about in FIFA 07. I've even lowered the CPU_GOALIE_SKILL codes to 30 or less and still the game feels right, simply because the shooting is much more better and harder to commit.

My point is not tell you how my game play thingy feels, but man oh man, ball physics do effect how all players react to each and every situation. Believe or not! it's jsut how a computer thinks!

2nd of all, What makes you sure that FIFA 07 has "rewritten" codes for ball physics? I mean come on. Nick, I asked you all to compare the 2 videos by the look and if you want compare it later by trying the game play it self.

Didn't you see the videos?? the human player was almost dominating the CPU, and that is only i the first few hours of playing this game! what will happen with us when we play it another 6 or 7 hours?? I guess we are going to open another 500 threads on how to improve FIFA 08. Lame.

I do really really believe that the ball physics in both videos (My video and the one on the Gametrailers.com) are almost the same. I'm not saying this to advertise for my self, but man, the FIFA 07 videos made me feel like watching my self playing on FIFA WC 2006! I swear to god that this is what happened. (Except for the graphical part and sun light)

3ed thing man, it wasn't a video or 2; there were 8 different in-game videos with 3 montage clips. isn't that enough?? NK, if you still have FIFA WC 2006, please install my game play and play the game, you will totally feel the "unpredictable" ball that all reviews are talking about, you'll even feel how close it is to those videos you are watching from FIFA 07. The ball physics in FIFA 07 are nothing new, as I said in a previous post, I still see the "magnetic" powers that players have on their feet in the last 4 FIFA releases.

The last thing is: I bit you that the Demo will suck ass... big time. mark my words. it's funny how confident I'm but trust me, this is what used to happen on every FIFA release in the past 4 years.

No hard feelings man, just a conversation. now convince me why you think that ball physics are better in the videos of FIFA 07? after all, EA could easily change some control lines and give you a "fake feeling" of the game being different, in other words they only trigger the psychological part of us, gamers. So, we try their new releases, we enjoy it for a week, and boom, we are bored again.

I seriously wish that the demo will be something different, I wishhhhhhh. I'm already praying. because PES sucks :P.

You think PES sucks? Finally someone who agrees that game is over-rated!! (Y) Sure the gameplay is harder and more in-depth, but I feel controlling a team like Brazil is more like controlling a team in the English 3rd Division.

Ok, I will ease off. The ball physics in your video are good, they are realistic. I just felt that FIFA 07 physics were more unpredictable. I will try out your update though as it does look like it plays good and that's important, the 'fun factor'.

I think me and others, perhaps yourself are making judgements. I for one am judging the game already as been good, whereas you are judging it as been bad (or a let-down Is another word). We're both judging a game and our different opinions make an interesting conversation :)

I enjoyed reading the points you made, they were fair points and your opinions and I respect that 100%. Waiting for the demo is something we all do whether we believe it will play good or bad, you and I will both download it and play it to death then get the good points and the bad. And there are always good and bad points, although the bad points always seem to ruin the experience in past FIFA games, so yes I understand your lack of optimism there Biggy...I know because I didn't buy FIFA 05 and turned to PES for a while...but came back after I realised England V Brazil in the world of PES only sold 20 tickets in the stadium

Anyway, I'll report in your thread on your update mate. Speak soon.

NK.

mmm to tell u the truth i c a diff from the vid u uploaded and the 07 one but just cant put my finger on it. but i do think this fifa 07 looks pretty goood. lets make a point here in general Biggs u sayin that fifa should overhaul everything start from scratch, welll in my opinion i dont they need to start from scratch just few adjustments like ball physics which i can notice they changed but not up to par , also the script we all want the moves to be unscripted and also the player movements and thats really it, other than that the graphics look pretty nice and the sound affects are amazing, sooo in general its not bad i think they finish the current gen at 85 - 88% of their potential whic is good in my opinion.
