New Teams - Keep the career mode working!

I want to add new teams in one league, but keep career mode working 100%. I plan to do the following:

1. Add with CM16 the new team (XXX) (Kits, Team Info, Roosters, Formations, etc)
2. Place this team (XXX) in Rest of the World
3. Swap this team (XXX) with the one i want to replace from league YYY.

Questions:

1. It is enough what i said above? Do I have to edit some dlc files? If yes, what are those?
2. Any other "tricks" that I have to be aware of when doing this kind of stuff? (for example CM16 is not suitable to edit all the information and use DM15 instead, etc)

PS: I use MW Mod with DB 8.0

If I understood correctly. I do exactly as you listed above, I still work. Although I installed the latest modding in february, maybe something has changed.

I know you are quite experienced with game structure (db and dlc). Can explain me what exactly you can edit from dlc/compdata?

I ask this because, i thought i need to edit something in dlc files when adding new teams, in order to work promotion/relegation from season to season.

If you are creating a new league, then yes, you need to edit there. But since you are only replacing an existing team - everything else will just remain exactly the same.
You can just simply create a new team and place it in "Rest of the world" - then swap the teams in-game.

hello everyone..i was able to import a league in fifa 16 with cm 16(the league was in cmp format that i've created from a patch)..i created the tournament to work in career mode and everything is going fine but i have two problems until now: 1). when i enter into the third season with a team from that league the game crashes every time, and second: if i forfeit 4 matches the team fired me,i know it is normal this but when i want to take another team is not showing any, the game is just loading but no team is showing..i specify that i have not changed any internal files, all i did was with cm 16..i really apreciate if someone can help me with that and if there are some tutorials around here where can be explained how we can make tournament structures working in career mode..thx

There are numerous guides spread out somewhere in this forum, and you'll just have to do some searching.
But I cant tell you that it is much easier to simply replace an existing league and using it's current ID's etc. than to create a new one from scratch.

i've replaced another league..i just simply remove the teams from a league and i added the teams from my league, then i rename the league and i made the tournament structure for my league because is a lower league it didn't need to create nation, i just create trophy for my league..like i said, it works fine but i can't read of that two problems..

Ah ok I see. You wasn't clear about everything you've done ... In that case you need to edit the league in the tournaments tab to make sure that the promotion and relegation are in order. Possibly even having a look at the match schedule if your league has a different number of teams than it was in the vanilla version. Also, to be on the safe side, only change the league name, but don't change the database name (just to make it easier - the database name is not visible in-game anyway).

i've done that to..i edit the promotion and relagation and it works fine..the created league has the same number if teams like the league above so i copy-paste the calendar from there..i've made it all i think..maybe i need to change some internal files in order to recive offers after i'm fired but i don't know how because i install the new league on a clean FIFA

and i'm just wondering,it is any way to put a league from a nation to another nation on the tournament panel in cm16 without creating a trophy? maybe that will solve any other problem..
